Have you ever had it when you're messaging someone back because they asked you for help, and it says that their box is full? I have....twice. And they don't pay attention to the Full PM Boxes thread, so they never realise.
Is there any way to get round this, like maybe increasing newbie limits from 5 to maybe 10 or something? Because it's hard to help the newbies out when you can't contact them....... :heh:
Or is there anyway we can make them aware of their box limits when they join?
-
Ummm,
Will bring it with Little Wolf the next time he is online.
Maybe we can increase the limit or at least put something in the registration agreement.
-
or at LEAST when your at the top, on the boards of on your message system it will tell you that its full. Not small in the corner like it is now, like big bold red letters on top. or maybe even an Email?
-
That requires altering the software, but we will see what we can do

You can put the total limit of PMs one can get in the top where it is written
Hey, username, you have _ new messages, of total _.
I also had a lot of problem regarding this when i was a newbie.
btw, when you post to someone, there is an option if you want to store it in your outbox or not. What's that? what out-box.
-
Outbox is where a copy of your message you send is stored.

So how can we access it?
-
when your viewing your personal messages, on the right of the screen above teh messages is teh Outbox button.
not hard to miss

Am I the only one annoyed by the text "Hey, -name-, you have x is new of total x."?

I am! It doesn't even tell how many we have left! You have to keep all your posts until that happens and it doesn't even tell you that it's full! You have to have somebody else tell you!

I never keep messages in my PM...usually when I read one, I respond and then erase it. Why ppl keep many messages in their PM box is beyond me.

So they can read them again later...
-
Then those ppl need to decide which one are important to keep and which ones aren't.
See. Simple.

:D

I used to erase my in the beginning because I didn't know how many I could keep, but then it came to the point that I would be helping somebody, and I would forget what they said, so I kept them. I erase the ones I don't need though.
-
I keep the ones I like too, but sometimes I go through them again and erase some.
It would still be good to know how many messages you can save. :sweatdrop:
And get that grammar problem fixed... "x is new" to "x new messages"

Sometimes it's hard to get rid of them....all of the ones I have are ideas and conversations about upcoming RPs and where they could go....I always delete the ones I get when I'm just talking to someone.
