Title: Gundam Seed: Fate
Post by: Kasawa Lanford on December 09 2007, 05:33 pm
Welcome :)

This story is a collaboration between myself and Dark Alpha.

Summery:

Almost a year has gone by since the new peace treaty was signed between ZAFT and the Earth Alliance; nuclear weapons have been disposed of, most of the gundams owned by both sides are scrapped for their parts to be used in civilian transports. Kira, Athrun and Lacus return to ORB to help Cagalli, while Shinn and Luna stay with ZAFT, but main a professional relationship while on duty.

The Eternal and Archangel once again disappear from the scene, along with their respective crews minus those who have already returned.

However, peace isn't something that will be kept. Unbeknowst to either faction, a splinter group of combined Cordinator and Naturals have been bidding their time - waiting for the perfect moment to bring the war back and remove the two governments who stand in their way.

Bios:

Name:Kitan
Age: 16
Race: Coordinator
Occupation: DNO Gundam Pilot
Rank: Colonel
Gundam/Mobile Armor: KDMA-009

Description: Kitan is a coordinator who believe's strongly in a world that needs change, he's watched the previous two wars bring nothing more than a fragile, uncertain peace. He doesn't know who his real mother and father are, nor is he even aware if he has any family left. He found himself in the hands of the DNO at the young age of five and has since been trained as a Gundam Pilot. During the two wars, however, he worked as a spy within both ZAFT and the Earth Alliace. Shortly after the second war, he was made colonel of the intelligence division and now serves as a front line soldier aboard his specially modified Maganest Gundam, with a personel OS he developed.

Details: Gundam KDMA-009
Weapons:
MMI-GAU27D 31 mm CIWS x2 , fire-linked, head-mounted
EQFU-3X Super DRAGOON mobile weapon wings x12 (Each carry MA-80V beam assault cannon x2, plus a single missile launcher with four missile payload)
MGX-5335 "Minus" multi-phase beam cannon x2, located on the shoulders.
MD-M21KF combinable high-energy beam rifle x2, located on the back. Can be made into a single beam rifle for us in long range combat, or kept as two cannons for use in short range.
MA-M02G "Lancete" beam saber x1, the Lacent is a weapon made by the DNO. Similiar to the beam sabre on Shinn's first gundam. The difference in this one is that it can be remotely controlled on a whime, as in if it gets blown off the users hands.

Systems:
Ultracompact Hyper-Deuterion Nuclear Fission Reactor.
Variable Phase Shift Armor

Special Systems:
Mirage Collde Cloak System

Description:

The KDMA-009 was originally designed to be used by the ZAFT Special Forces unit 937. However, during the second war a group of DNO commando's infiltrated the assembly plant and stole the suit. The plant was then destroyed and made to look as if the plants own nuclear reactor melted down, it succeeded, and ZAFT never realized that the unit was destroyed.

In a DNO base on Earth the unit completed with the help of another construction team. It's weapon are mark improvement over those typically found on a suit it's type, but the installion of a special OS meant it didn't have the same weakness that the Impulse and Freedom, along with the Strike Impulse had. With several special arrays set up, the nuclear reactor can feed power into various systems, plus the arrays can store the power for instant recharge of its weapons.

Twelve small 'wings' are planted across the chasis, made to look like an angel, these wings hold the DNO's most smallest, and most powerful, beam weapon. The beams are capable of being 'curved' allowing the mobile weapons to fire on targets not directly within their firing line.

While the ZDMA-009 appears to be one seated; it can actually fit two pilots. The difference is that one pilot is responsible for communications and sensors, while the other pilots and fires the weapons. The pilot 'pod' is armored up, making it difficult to destroy.

The Unit is also equiped with an MCCS, another form of DNO technology that allows the unit to appear as something else. the MCCS is requiped on all DNO ships, which is why they are able to look like ZAFT or Earth Alliance vessels. The 'holographic' field is made in such a way that the firing of weapons, or swiveling of turrets doesn't disrupt the field.

Biography: Xion was once a happy-go-lucky 13 year old kid from ORB who is celebrating his 13th birthday with his parents, in which begins his years as a teenager. However that was short lived when mobile suits from both ORB & ZAFT destroyed his neighborhood thus killing his parents along with everyone else there. Xion was the only one who survived at that time, and was devastated by the loss of his parents. From that day, Xion's teenage years had to be replaced by being a mercenary pilot in order to make money for a living & learn how to survive on his own. Three years passed from that day, and now Xion is now a famous mercenary for hire to rich clients. What will Xion's fate be? What kind of outcome will he bring to the Third Valentine War? Only time can tell....

Code Name: Strike Noir

Fixed Armaments: 2 x M2M5 "Todesschrecken" 12.5mm automatic CIWS, fire-linked, mounted in head; 2 x M8F-SB1 "Shorty" beam rifle, mounted on hips, hand-carried in use; 2 x MR-Q10 "Fragarach" beam blade, mounted on Noir, hand-carried in use; 2 x MAU-M3E42 linked linear gun, mounted on Noir Striker

Additional Equipment/Armaments: Noir Striker; 2 x 57mm high-energy beam rifle w/175mm grenade launcher x 2

Serial Number: GAT-X105E+AQM/E-X09S
Biography(Optional): Like the original GAT-X105 Strike Gundam, the upgraded GAT-X105E Strike E is designed to use several interchangeable Striker packs. It most commonly uses the AQM/E-X09S Noir Striker, which combines various armaments. The Noir Striker's "wings" house a pair of linked linear guns, as well as a pair of beam blades and a rocket anchor. The Strike Noir is assigned to Phantom Pain pilot Sven Cal Bayan and serves as his personal unit during the Second Earth/ZAFT War that begins in late C.E. 73 with the "Break the World" incident. Separated from the regular Earth Alliance command structure, Sven's Phantom Pain unit includes Mudie Holcroft's GAT-X1022 Blu Duel and Shams Couza's GAT-X103AP Verde Buster. During the course of the war, Sven is assigned to lead a group of Orb pilots using GAT-01A2R Slaughter Daggers in the hunt for the Martian ship Acidalium and Ergnes Brahe's GSF-YAM01 Ä Astray.

In early C.E. 74, Sven's unit is assigned to protect Phantom Pain's land carrier Bonaparte, as well as the massive GFAS-X1 Destroy Gundam. The Bonaparte comes under attack from ZAFT forces, resulting in Mudie's death. Soon after, Sven and Shams are sent to space as part of an attack on the Deep Space Survey and Development Organization (DSSD) to seize control of the AI-equipped GSX-401FW Stargazer. During that battle, the Strike Noir is damaged by the Stargazer. In a last-ditch effort to defeat Sven, Stargazer pilot Selene MacGriff uses the Stargazer's "Voiture Lumiere" interplanetary propulsion system to send both suits out to Venus. Afterward, Selene rescues Sven and uses the Strike Noir's remaining energy to recharge the Stargazer for its long journey back to Earth.

After the Second Valentine War, Xion recovered the damaged Strike Noir which finally returned to ORB's airspace from Venus. He salvaged & repaired it accordingly how the Strike Noir originally is, the only difference are the absence of its rocket anchors & the powerful security Xion installed to ensure that no one else can pilot it but him, plus the fact that Strike Noir's controls are reconfigured & redesigned according to Xion's liking & convenience. Xion currently uses it for his missions as a mercenary pilot even until now.

PLANT Colony - January 9th, ZAFT Military Refueling Depot

A subtle breeze blew across the parade grounds of the Zaft Military Base located on January 9th, a newly constructed PLANT built to replace the January lost during the war. Equiped with special 'blast doors' to help prevent such an attack from causing wide spread damage, it was effectively difficult to bisect this colony.

On the Parade Grounds, a young boy in his middle teen's watched as ZAFT Mobile Suits made their daily patrols. Two of the suits glanced his way, but then returned to patroling.

"How much longer?" The teenager said into a hidden mic. As he listend to someone on the other end his attention shifted to several large fuel tanks in the distance. Each tank carried enough fuel to keep the Zaft ships active for months.

With a cursory nod he stuffed his hands into his pocket and headed off into the hanger bay. Inside he meet a mechanic who thumped him toward an elevator, while he ascended through the depot his mind raced with many concerns: Will this work? What will happen? And will this mark the beginning of the new war.

The Elevator stopped and he disembarked, then took a flight of stairs down into a hidden section of the base. There he found a young girl, somewhere in her early teens, coming out of a vent shaft. "It's done Kiten," the girl said.

Kiten smiled and helped her out of the shaft. "Great Sakura, now let's board the Majesty and get going," he said. They made their way down the corridor until they came to a set of airlock doors. Sealing up their uniforms and making sure htey had freeze oxygen, they cycled through the airlock until it opened. They were on the bottom of the colony, below them for some distance was a ZAFT patrol vessel.

They floated in space until they came across a mobile suit that was attached magnetically to the colony. It's cockpit doors opened, they boarded. Kiten ran a check list of the mobile suits systems, then checked his mission clock. "One hour to go, before the whole world knows who we are,"

"Let's just hope the other group is doing their job setting up explosives on the Earth Alliance station," Sakura said as she ran her own checklist ."Everything's clear back here," she added

He nodded. "Great, let's hold off just a few more minutes," he said. The girl nodded and pressed her back against her seat, then closed her eyes to get at least a couple seconsd of rest.

Xion was in the abandoned space station busy preparing his Strike Noir for an incoming mission he was hired for, and its a pretty big one to miss out of. As he continued on preparing Strike Noir, he soon came to a thought regarding his Gundam.

"Its just a shame that the pilot Sven Cal Bayan couldn't live to see his favourite Gundam in one piece, which is now mine, right Strike Noir?" asked Xion to himself as he chuckled for awhile and finally finished preparing it.

"Right, now to inform my client that I'm ready." said Xion as he took out his Amethyst Purple cellphone and began dialling in a number. With that done, he placed the cellphone by his ear and began speaking to his client when he responded.

"I am ready now, care to brief me my mission once more?" asked Xion professionally.

The wait had been long; roughly ten minutes to be exact, when the message came for him to disengage, he did so silently. "Disengage magnetic clamps," he told Sakura, whom nodded.

Majesty suddenly began to float away from the bottom of the colony. Below it the ZAFT Patrol Vessel apperently had yet to notice them, "Sakura, power up the beam sabre, we have our first target," Kiten said.

They both heard a hum envelop the suit as the beam sabre came online; it's metal blade hadn't yet warmed with a dull red glow just yet as it was under stealth power, meaning the patrol vessel wouldn't pick up the start up of the blade until it was to late.

***

Inside the depoy, Kira and Shinn were tending to some of their own duties. "Hey Kira?" Shinn said as he worked on his mobile suit. "It's been.. several months since the end of the war, you think it'll remain peaceful?" he asked.

Kira didn't look at him as he tended to Shinn's OS. Making changes to the base code, and making sure the code he put in would work. "I hope it does, I made the mistake of assuming that we would have a long lasting peace after the last war," Kira said. "We'll just have to pray," he added.

Just as Xion made contact, a mysterious person responded.

"Yes. Your mission is to create a ruckus at the Colony, enough to draw a few suits out. I don't care what it takes, just stall them for a while. After that, our Mobile Suits will come and take care of the job." explained the mysterious person.

"Right, and I expect the payment to be made right after I finished my job." said Xion, ensuring that the client still hasn't forget their contract's reward payment.

"Naturally." replied the mysterious person in an ensuring tone, as Xion closed his cellphone and put it back inside his pocket. He then entered Strike Noir and began activating its systems.

"Right, lets go Strike Noir!" said Xion as Strike Noir's thrusters activated thus causing it to fly out of the space station in a 360 degree flip while activating its Phase Shift armor at the same time. With that, Xion flew Strike Noir towards their target area as stealthly and quickly as possible.

Minutes ticked by on his mission watch; then at the thirty minute marked was reached and his distance counter went down to only a mere one hundred feet from the stationary patrol vessel, the Majesty came to life. It's phase shift armor came online with a goldish/bluish brellence.

The arm of the Gundam pulled back and grabbed a beam sabre that was on it's back; wiping it out like it was no heavier than a feather. The blade glowed to a dull blood red hue before the suits thrusters pack's came online, rocketing it toward the patrol vessel.

They struck so fast; so precise, that the patrol vessel wasn't able to send out it's compliment of mobile suits. The sabre cut cleaning into the top of the vessel, bisecting it in the center, then continueing down through the bottom. As Kiten piloted his suit away, a blinding explosion rippled through space, rocking his suit as the reactor of the vessel chained reacted.

"One down," Kiten said as he saw reinforcement appear on the sensor display. "Count?" he asked his co-pilot.

"Two, no...make that four," Sakura said as she flipped a switch. "All are Zaku class," she said, her voice amused by the lack of more powerful weapons to be thrown against them.

Kiten nodded. "I'm almost certain we'll get a heavier response once those charges go off, which should be in another twenty eight minutes," he said as he flew toward a peice of debris that was once the Zaft patrol vessel.

No sooner did a large number of Zaku class groups began acting in defensive measures, flying towards the Gundam that destroyed one of their patrol vessels. However their attempts were soon thwarted when Strike Noir flew towards them from above, firing its two beam rifles rapidly at them at a machine gun's speed rate, destroying them at a quick pace, as Strike Noir then stylishly changed directions and flew towards the original target area.

More and more Zaku class groups began flying towards the Strike Noir, intending to take it out. However, they only proved to meet the same fate as the Strike Noir's two beam rifles begun performing its job again; destroying any Zaku's that are interfering in its pathway.

Kiten ignored the mercenary as hide behind the debris. "We'll have to blow early," he said as he reached for the remote detonator. "Fire a message off the merc to get clear of the blast zone!" he shouted, waited fifteen seconds, then depressed the trigger.

A rippling explosion chained through the refueling complex as the explosives afixed to the various fuel lines detonated. The bottom of the colony suddenly warped as explosion chained across the bottom and toward the glassy structure of the colony. Cracks appeared on the glass and spread in various directions.

Kiten watched as the bottom half ot the colony began to float away; explosions still chainingacross the depot. "Mission complete," Sakura said before a warning light came on. "Detecting three mobile suits, checking ID's... It's the Destiny, Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice," Sakura said as she brought it up on another display for Kiten to see. He naturally scowled at the presence of three coordinators, veterans of the last war, willing to take them on.

"Keep an eye on them," he said.

"Infinite Justice is breaking off and heading toward the Merc, Destiny and Freedom are headed toward us," Sakura said. Her voice was calm and collected, as if she had been expecting this all along and was waiting for the moment.
Title: Re: Gundam Seed: Fate
Post by: Dark Alpha on December 10 2007, 06:26 pm
'Looks like it took the bait, that Gundam should be able to handle the other two, especially the Destiny pilot.' thought Xion, as he flew above all of the sudden, which will cause Infinite Justice to loose track of Strike Noir's location. The out of the blue, Strike Noir unexpectedly flew towards Infinite Justice from above & behind, firing its two beam rifles rapidly at Infinite Justice, remaining in an admirably accurate manner even though being in a hard position to do so.

Once Strike Noir got close enough, Xion switched from its two beam rifles to its two beam blade, being ready to clash against Infinite Justice's beam saber if it is in position, otherwise Strike Noir would have made a swift V-cut at Infinite Justice's torso.

The Majesty easily avoided a sabre from the Destiny; Kiten flew the gundam like it was an extension of his own body. Causing it to dive cleanly away from the bladed weapon.

"Annoyance," was the word Kiten used to describe the Destiny. As he flew downwards he quickly reversed thrust and brought his blade up toward the Destiny, he was to quick for the pilot to evade and easily removed the head of the gundam, which flew off into space somewhere.

"One down," Kiten said coldly as he turned his attention to the Strike Freedom, he knew even from a distance that it would prove an interesting battle.

***

Infinite Justice screamed toward the unknown gundam; it's blade outward and ready for battle. The onboard pilot could already feel this battle would be intense, not only from the wreakage he saw floating around, but also by how the gundam ahead looked.

"Why are they here? Who are they?" Athrun asked himself as he approuched the gundam. "Why are these people attacking?" he shook his head clear of the questions, knowing they would be nothing more than a distraction.

As both Gundams approached close, Strike Noir's two beam blades and Infinite Justice's beam saber clashed intensively, with seemingly neither having the upperhand. However just as the clash continued on, Strike Noir stealthfully readied its beam blade while the other continued clashing, and in unexpectedness its readied beam blade proceeded to perform a swift stab at Infinite Justice's cockpit, intending to hit it.

Athrun scowled when he saw the approuching blades and brought his own up; skillfully avoiding the attack and flying upwards to gain an advantage. When he was a short distance up he brought his beam rifle to bear on the gundam, and opened fire.

***

"This pilots good," Kiten said as the Striker avoided his attacks; of course, he was just toying with the Strike and it's pilot until the appointed time. That time came faster than he expected, in the distance just beyond the moon, a massive explosion took place in high orbit. It was noticable even their location near the PLANTS.

A grin formed across his face as he knee'd the Strike in the chest. "Merc! We move!" Kiten blasted the transmission to Xion. "Rendezvous with second carrier group, location coordinates are being sent to you now," he said. As he flew away from the Strike he noticed it's pilot was still chasing him.

"Ok boy..." he said and spun the Majesty around and aimed the beam rifle at the colony. "Let's give you something to worry about," with a press of the trigger, a beam of angry red light shot out of the rifle and connected with the armor plating of the colony - it was an unexpected event. Kiten generally looked surprised, but then grinned and pumped more power into the beam rifle, after several seconds the armor plating over the colony's exterior windows shattered and a hole appeared. The Strike Freedom instantly stopped and made it's way toward the colony.

As he flew away his interception gear picked up a burst transmission from the gundam - 'Athrun! Get back to the colony!' Kiten looked to his right, as if he could see the Strike's pilot clearly. "Athrun?" he said to himself and continued to fly.

"Something wrong?" Sakura asked him, but Kiten shook his head. "No, nothing," was all he said.

Strike Noir stylishly evades the incoming beam shots, while returning fire with its own two beam rifles. Just as Xion was attempting to land a critical move at Infinite Justice, the transmission from Kiten prevented that.

"Alright." Xion blasted the transmission back to Kiten, flying Strike Noir towards the second carrier group, as he soon arrived at there.

Kiten's gundam floated ahead of the lead battleship, a class of ship unknown to the Zaft and Earth Alliance. The ship had eight ship to ship based cannon's similiar to the one's used on the Minerva. Affixed to the front of the ship was a Genesis like beam weapon, capable of spliting a station in half.

As he watched Xion's Gundam move slowly onto the ship; he turned his attention to the calamity in the distance. Even though they weren't far from the colony, it was still far enough to where he couldn't see the hundreds upon hundreds of mobile suits working furiously to rescue people from the colony.

At the same time he had the communication's network open and was listening to the hasty new's reports now flooding in from Earth and the PLANTS. With a grin on his face he looked at Sakura, who nodded. "Captain Monikor..." he said.

Aboard the battleship, Captain Monikor was sitting, his hands clasped in his hands. "Here Sir," he said.

"Match my visual and audioable signal into the battleships communications system, then beam it to every PLANT, every Earth based city, even Lunar." Kiten ordered, he waited several seconds before a series of green lights appeared on his communication's console.

With a deep sigh he flipped on a switch; instantly the radio chatter on the news networks ceased and his voice flooded the airways. "As you whelps have seen; January 9 and the Earth Alliance station 'Delphious' lie in ruins," he said, his voice cold and unsympathic.

"This attack's will continue until the governments of both nations surrender to the might of the Dark Nebula Organization, we will not stand for the petty squibbles that went on between these two nations," he glanced to his right just as two of his escort mobile suits came up along side him. "The ZAFT High Council, the Earth Alliance Military, and the group known as 'Blue Cosmos' will begin to feel the wraith of the DNO, as we cleanse both land and space of these abomanations!" he shouted, his voice singing in the ears of anyone who might've been wearing a headset.

He lay silent for several minutes, then his voice crept back up. "What you've witnessed today, is but a prelogue to the real battle's ahead. We will continue our act's of aggression against both nations," he said before relaying images of the explosion at the colony and station. After several minute's he killed the connection and clasped his hands in his lap and looked up at the monitors, "let the third war begin...."

***

"Damn it..." Athrun growled after listening to the message. "Only a few months of peace.. and now we have another act of aggression on our hands," he said as he piloted his Gundam over to the colony to help in assisting.

Xion then look at the countless units attempting to assist the civillians inside the colony, as he noticed how similiar these disasters are to those back in ORB years ago. However whatever he felt about these actions, isn't his problem to interfere or say anything. He is a mercenary pilot, that was it. He needed to fight for a living, as he knew how harsh life can be. With that, he proceeded to keep watch of his Strike Noir, ensuring that no one attempts to sabotage it, even though its security is very impossible to break through.

Onboard the battleship, Kiten tended to the maintenance of his gundam. Stripping apart it's arm and repairing some of the damage that his opponant dealt.

"The pilot was good; he managed to damage your suit," Sakura said as she floated over to the arms casing.

Kiten nodded. "I will give him some credit; but he won't succeed next time," he said. He pulled out some of the burnt wires, discarding them in the air and then replacing them with freeze ones. "Can you get Xion for me?" he asked Sakura.

"Sure, he should be landing any moment now," Sakura said and went to retreive Xion.

Xion made sure no one was too close enough to Strike Noir's cockpit when repairing it, however his attention shifted when he noticed Sakura. He knew that Kiten wanted to see him right now, so did not hesitate to say no.

"Very well." said Xion to Sakura, as if he knew what she was going to say. With that, he began heading to where Kiten is.

A wrench floated out of the Majesty's cockpit. Sakura grabbed the wrench and then floated into the cockpit, "brought Xion as you asked," she said and grabbed onto her console and used it to get into her pilots seat.

"Nice flying out there," Kiten said, not turning toward Xion. "What's your impression of that Infinite Justice and it's pilot?"
Title: Re: Gundam Seed: Fate

"I can't really comment my impression towards them much of yet, due to our battle being cut short. Though I had to admit, the Red Knight's skill towards close ranged combat is plausible, as his pattern of attacking tends to be unpredictable yet straightforward once discerned of." commented Xion in a formal tone, showing an emotionless expression for the entire time.

"You may get your chance to fight him again, but not today," Kiten said. "Sakura, how's the power flow to the arm?" he asked.

Sakura looked at the power meter and smiled. "It's good, looks like that was the problem," she said.

"Good," he said and closed the arm's casing, then locked it into place. "Xion, we'll be returning to base soon, get your gundam squared away. While you don't have to worry about any of crew trying to steal it, we are docking at Lunar base, best to be on the safe sid," he said to Xion.

"Very well." replied Xion, heading off to re-enter the docking bay, where he then ensures that his security systems were online.

Kiten sighed as he engaged the Majesty's cockpit security system; once Sakura floated out the canopy closed and sealed up - only opening when either Sakura or himself approuched. "Let's change into civvy's and get ready to report in," he told Sakura, the two pushed off the gundam's arm and a door leading down a hallway.

The mighty battleship lumbered toward Lunar base before moving around to the darkside of the moon; suddenly, hidden in the darkness, two large metallic doors suddenly slid open to reveal a massive hanger bay. The battleship slowly backed into the bay, then the doors closed shut. Suddenly the engines went offline, their normal 'hum' dissipating into silence.

Boarding tubes extended from the walls for the crew to disembark. For Kiten and Sakura, they'd be headed into another section of this part of the moon where they had a hidden base, and thus report in a mission success and get new orders.

Just as Xion finished maintaining Strike Noir, he decided to relax for awhile, as it has been some time since he did that. And so, he exited the battleship and off to the moon's city.

He then looked around the city he is now in, and decided to just walk around to ease his mind.

From both the inside and out; the city that the organization owned didn't look like it could house an organization bent on destroying two governments. City folk went about their daily business, tending to their jobs or helping people out, but each person was armed with a firearm that was hidden away from the prying eyes of either the Zaft or the Earth Alliance.

Kiten and Sakura had driven from the hanger bay out into the city and into a large circular glass building. They rode an elevator up to the top floor, stepping off they found the floor to be littered with a variety of earth based plants. "Beautiful place," Sakura commented as they walked slowing down a concrete path leading into a small house.

Inside an older man wearing a dark kimono was staring out over the city. "You two did good; January 9 has taken so much damage that the people have been evacuated to other PLANTS," the man said, his hands clasped behind his back. "Not to mention you dealt a crippling blow already to the Earth Alliance military,"

"We only did as we were instructed," Kiten said. The man nodded and turned toward the two of them before walking over to his chair. "That you have, I have another mission for you but for now let's wait awhile and see what transpires. I'm sure Zaft and the Earth Alliance are scrambling to find information on us, no doubt they'll get some but not all," the man said and turned back toward the windows.

Silence fell over the room for several minutes, finally the man let out a satisfying sigh. "Get some rest, relax a bit, I'll page you when I feel the moment to strike is up," he said.

Kiten and Sakura nodded, bowed, and then left the home and thus the floor. "Another mission eh? I wonder what that man will us do," Sakura wondered, but Kiten didn't say a word.

As Xion continued walking around the city, he could notice several people looking at him. However they weren't looking at him due to thinking of him as an outsider or such, but merely by his attire. It was as if to them Xion's appearance screamed mercenary, so it concludes that they were looking at him due to fearing that if he is on a mission to attack them or such. However even if so, none would have the courage to face against a well-knowned mercenary such as Xion, so they continued on carrying out their daily routines. Xion simply smirked a little, satisfied that his temporary time of relaxation won't be ruined by the public.

After walking around a couple more minutes, he proceeded to sit outside of a cafe restaurant and ordered a shish kebab, along with a glass of Martini as well. As soon as his order came back, he began taking a sip of his martini before eating his shish kebab in peace.

Kiten sighed as he sat in a chair at a four star restruant. The waiter had just taken his order and was leaving, Sakura was staring out at the man-made lake that was laid out behind them. The lake was empty of any wild-life, but what it lacked in animals it made up for in splendid beauty.

The center of the lake had a shooting fountain, water shot up to five feet in the air before raining back down into the lake. The water came out in glistening colors of red, blue, green and purple - marking the organization's base colors.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" Sakura said to Kiten, he just nodded, his face propped up by his hand. His elbow was on the table and he was looking toward the door, his other hand was presse firmly against the pistol he had in his pocket. Then, as the seconds ticked by, it was as if a buzzer had gone off in his head had the door to the restruant opened up to reveal two Earth Alliance officers.

In that instant silence fell over the restruant, it's customers gave the officers dirty looks, some looked to be ready to throw their glasses at the men if they took any further step. "Hostile atmosphere," one officer said as he turned to his friends, then the restruant owner came by and offered them a seat near the lake. It was the normal 'treat both sides well while tricking them' tactic. Meaning the restruant would bill them 'twice' the amount of any normal restraunt.

"Huh... wish I could've taken a shot," Kiten grumbled and turned his head toward the lake. "You'll get your chance I'm sure," Sakura beamed and waited. A few minute's later the waiter came back with their drinks, and told them that their dinner would take a bit longer as what they had ordered wasn't 'standard'

"Take your time, we ain't going anywhere," Kiten said and took a sip from his drink.

Just as Xion continued on enjoying his meal, it was abruptly ended when he could hear the sound of a 16-year old girl screaming for help, while the remaining voices are the publics. With that Xion stopped eating his meal, took another sip of Martini, and head out to find the source of all this commotion that is interrupting his meal.

(OOC: Let the lady be Meyrin, like as if the public is attempting to do something to her.  ^^”)

She ran, her feet taking her down the street and away from an unrulely mob. "Get her!" someone shouted as he held up what appeared to be a weapon.

"What the heck is going on!" The girl shouted as she fled.

Just as if in the nick of time, Xion dashed in and took the girl out of harm's way, towards a dark alley.

"Stay here for awhile, if you wish to live." said Xion, before heading to look at the unrulely mob, not showing any sign of fear at all.

"Anybody here who has problems with an unarmed teenage girl?" asked Xion to the crowd in a calm but menacing tone, as if warning the mob to not harm the girl or their heads would end up being his bounty price.

The mob stared at Xion; some wondering if it was ok to continue their crusade, though others seemed more concerned with keeping lives. It took awhile before the mob dispersed, people heading in every which direction, some continued to stare at Xion, but most kept their eyes foward and away from the man.

Seeing that there are a few more staring at him, Xion simply stared back at them while lifting his sunglasses a little to reveal them his extremely menacing amethyst eyes, before lifting it back down to cover them again. With that he headed off to where the girl was, to make sure if she is alright.

"You alright there?" asked Xion in a calm tone to the girl.

She looked at him oddly before saying. "Nice to meet you Lucas, my name is Meyrin, Meyrin Hawke," Meyrin said and looked around. "So.. uhh.. what do you do here?"

"No, you can say I am just a wanderer, travelling around to see new places." explained Xion, covering up with a fake story.

Meyrin nodded. "I see," she said and looked toward a group of people who were staring at her. "D-do you know a place that's a bit more.... private?"

Not wanting a scene to happen, Xion then decided to bring her to the place where he is eating at. He knew the people there, so there won't be any problem going to that particular place.

"Follow me." said Xion, heading back into the place while making sure Meyrin followed him. He then beckoned Meyrin to sit on the second table, before sitting down himself. The location of their table is close to the open lake, so its rather a romantic view. However Xion simply threw that thought out, not even sure why he thought of it in the first place.

"This.. is a beautiful place," Meyrin said as she looked across the lake. Nearby music piped through ceiling speakers while a band keyed their instruments to the music.

She kept her ear to the music; listneing to the rythm that the band was giving off. "I never knew this portion of the Lunar City existed, I wonder why it's not on any of the maps..." Meyrin wondered aloud.

"Its because those who run this cafe have rights to remove their location from the map, intending to not make it a place where danger can happen when it comes to racism." explained Xion, looking at Meyrin. For a second he seemed transfixed to her, but shrugged that off again.

'Get ahold of yourself, bastard.'  thought Xion to himself, cursing the average raging hormones of teenagers from taking its work at him of all people.

Meyrin nodded, though she did look like she was thought. "That's odd, because I could've sworn the Lunar Governmant released an announcement where everyone had to report the locations of their establishments so we don't have a repeat of the last two wars," she said just as a waiter came up.

The waiter handed her a drink menu; she looked down the menu and noticed a small, almost invisible, crest. She ignored it and pointed to a drink item that was slightly alcoholic. The waiter asked for ID, she presented it, and then the man left to get her drink.

"Well whatever it is, isn't my concern at all." said Xion simply. Truthfully he knew that this location is allowed to be left unknown due to it being a place for mecenaries, though there are too average people around here, but they absolutely have to be with a mercenary as a sign of identification themselves. To put it simply, Xion is Meyrin's priviledge of being able to access here without harm. The rest knew he was Xion, but kept it quiet knowing that he didn't want Meyrin to figure out his true identity.

Meyrin nodded. "Is that so," she said and smiled when the waiter brought her drink. She took a sip and listened as a song was piped into the room; Meyrin instantly recognized it as being one sung by Lacus. "Beautiful," she commented.

"Well, I see I've found someone who has interest in Clyne's music. Don't heavily depend on it though with your whole life, it is still just a piece of music." said Xion, not really being a fan of the famous Lacus Clyne. Of course, it would be a weakness for a mercenary like him to just hear and depend on her.
Title: Re: Gundam Seed: Fate
Post by: Kasawa Lanford on December 28 2007, 04:36 pm
Meyrin shook her head. "You're wrong, its not just a 'peice of music' it's something that allows the people to see stuff from another point of view. You can feel how much time she's put into making that peice, how much of her love she has..." Meyrin said and sighed happily.

Across the lake behind a grouping of trees; a man peered through the len's of his binoculars, spying on Meyrin and Xion. The men looked at each other, nodded, and continued to survey the two of them.

"Well, that is your point of view on how you view her music. For me, its just another piece of music, simple as that." said Xion, taking a sip of his martini. For a second Xion could swear he noticed the group of trees wriggling, however it was so short he decided to shove it off, thinking of it as the wind.

Meyrin sighed, shaking her head. "Whatever you say," she said, shrugging her shoulders in defeat.

"So, this is where you've been," Kiten said as he walked over to the table. He stared at Xion, then at the girl he was sitting with. A grin spread across his face as he placed one hand on his hip and gestured to the girl. "I see you brought a date," he smiled.

Title: Re: Gundam Seed: Fate

"I am merely just having a conversation with her, that is all." explained Xion, not intending to let his identity as a mercenary be known to Meyrin

"If so, then where is your own date?" asked Xion in a slightly amusing tone, countering Kiten's words, obviously talking about Sakura.
Title: Re: Gundam Seed: Fate

Kiten looked at Sakura who smiled and placed her arm around Kiten's neck. "Right here," he said to him, crushing Xion's hope's of throwing his own comment back at him. "Well, you two love birds take care while we go off to do our own thing," he said as him and Sakura walked off.

The owner of the establishment bowed to them and brought them to a private room. Meyrin blinked, "you know them?" she asked.

"I see..." Meyrin said and took another sip from her drink. "Is it always this dull around here? I don't see many people entering this place," she asked.

Kiten and Sakura sighed as they took a seat at their table. In front of them a man played the violen in a slow course, letting loose a pleasant tone that made Kiten feel right at home.

"I still wonder why you authorized Xion to be apart of this team," Sakura asked.

Kiten shrugged his shoulders and said. "It was my decision, nothing more. Who knows, he may continue to prove useful as time goes," he said.

"I see," Sakura smiled.

Meyrin nodded. "I guess you're right," she said and was about to say somemore when a pendent around her neck pulsed. She sighed and got up, "I'm sorry but I must be going, thank you for the drink," she said and quickly left the restruant.

Outside she wondered if it had been a good idea to leave Xion like that. "Kind boy, though he makes me nervous for some reason.." she said and disappeared down the straight.

Kiten and Sakura tipped their wine glasses before relaxing. "Very good," Kiten said. "The wine I mean," he added.

"Its the best batch they had, vintage date of nineteen eighty... exthremely old but very well preserved," Sakura said as she looked at the bottle. "And illegal within the Earth Federation," she shook her head.

"Let's see.. a lavish dinner.. it's almost night so shall we call it?" Kiten suggested as he got up from his chair and walked over to the balcony.

Sakura shrugged her shoulders before telling the waiter to charge to credit account. The waiter nodded, then smiled when Sakura told him to take an extra two hundred out as a tip.

"Tipping him much?" Sakura heard Kiten say. She smiled and shook her head, "no... I once tipped a bartender six hundred,"

"Why?" Kiten asked.

"Because he shot two Earth Alliance goons for me when they tried to force me out," Sakura smiled before walking to the door. "Anyway, yes, let's call it a night.. at least until our boss calls us up for the next mission," she said.

Xion then began walking throughout the city, browsing through it all for some unknown reason. While doing so, he managed to encounter the same group which he fended off from chasing after Meyrin. When they looked at him, their eyes represented fear. Xion simply rolled his eyes and continued walking around, dissapointed at how much of a coward that group truly is.

When he arrived at a particular section of the city, he noticed what seemed to be Meyrin and a couple of ZAFT soldiers. Not wanting to reveal his presence, he hid himself by entering an abandoned building without anyone noticing. With that he began spying on what they are conversing about, not even once revealing his location at all to anyone.

"So, nothing?" The Zaft soldier asked her.

"Seem's to be peaceful, though some of the residents appeared less than friendly," she siad and glanced around. "But other than that, there was no evidence of any hostility towards Zaft, though I did notice some toward the Earth Alliance," she added

"Still, we should monitor that place. Most of the people there are unregistered and its shops are in the same situation," the other soldier said before they walked off.

Meyrin sighed. "Yea," she grumbled before walking off to meet someone else.

Noticing Meyrin walking off somewhere else, he secretly exited the building and followed her while not being seen by anyone.

Meyrin had only gone a short distance; she hadn't been to sure how to take the path so she didn't to take the path of least residence - straight. It lead her to a secure check point where she showed her ID to the Zaft guards. "I'll only be a few minutes," she told him.

SHe made her way into the building and up two floors before arriving in a room full of communications gear. Switching the gear online, she ran an encryption check and smiled when all the lines showed up as being secure. "Well, time to make my report," she said and started relaying what she found.

Knowing that he can't get past the guards without making a scene, he decided to spy on Meyrin while remaining discreet. With that, he hid himself well before bringing out a pair of high-tech binoculars and began spying on Meyrin.
Title: Re: Gundam Seed: Fate
Post by: Kasawa Lanford on January 25 2008, 07:07 pm
Before starting Meyrin glanced to her left and engaged the shades, effectively making it dificult, if not impossible, for anyone to easedrop on her while she was giving her report. As time passed and she spoke to the person on the other end she often wondered if anyone was trying to spy on her. Hope not, but you never though, she thought and continued her report.
Title: Re: Gundam Seed: Fate

Xion groaned mentally at that, as his attempts to spy have grown difficult to perform now. However he himself isn't one to give in to disadvantage, with that he continued spying while taking any advantage he is able to grasp while keeping discretion as a top priority.

Minutes ticked by as Meyrin listened to her superior officer. Finally the man on the other end hung up and she was able to relax a bit. "Man does more talking than listening," she mumbled to herself and got up.

She left the room and crossed the hall to a lobby where she stared out the large window; outside was a large lake that spread out for miles. The ceiling was painted to make it seem like their was a sky, it brought some life to the area but not much most people still felt they were living inside a cave.

From the balcony of the building; Meyrin saw people below. Some were talking to one another while others were going their daily business.

While watching she noticed two people who she thought she had seen before; both were staring at the building she was in but then left as if they had lost interest. "Odd, could've sworn I've seen those two before," she wondered.

Kiten and Sakura wondered away from the building; they had only been interested in knowing where the girl had gone and from there had kept an eye on the building. "I guess we know she's Zaft," Sakura said silently to Kiten, who nodded in response.

"There is more to what she conversed at that building." mentioned Xion to Kiten and Sakura, showing a giving them a glimpse of his high-tech boniculars which seemed to play a recording of what Meyrin was talking about. After that, he hid it back again.

"But now is not the time to look at it." said Xion once more, as there are quite the number of ZAFT soldiers around in the distance.

"Just upload it to the database, we'll have intel take a look at it and see what can be used," Kiten said before glancing over his shoulder and back at the building. "For now let's head back to town and get some much needed rest before our next mission, which should be soon," he added.

"Alright." responded Xion, heading back into the town area for a much needed rest like what Kiten mentioned. Noticing several ZAFT soldiers approaching, he did a sign only knowned to DNO pilots which lets them know to get moving now.
