Title: Archive?
Post by: wisteria on May 09 2005, 09:55 pm
Shouldn't we have an archive for the older issue as a storage? so each subforum dun have more than 2 pages. It is also for easy reference of older topic discussed earlier.

Interesting Idea.

I'll leave it up to Little Wolf but, I fine with the idea but he has final say in matters like this :D

Yep, it's a good idea but I actually prefer forums having more than 2 pages of topic list. Well, at least for now... :keke: Forums will be pruned of really old topics when it's needed. (Really old = probably about 1 year) The reason why I like the forums to keep most of the old topics together with the new ones is because not everyone had come here at the same time. It would be better if they could just go back the previous pages so they'd see how the forum was like before and they'd know what was already discussed.

I don't quite get what you mean by an archive. Is it like each forum will have its own archive subforum? Is that what you mean? If yes, I'm okay with that idea. Although I don't think every forum here really needs one. Well, the Anything goes... forum definitely needs archiving. :D

Yep :) Actually, we can change the Trash topic to Archives (I mean, then I'll delete the really crap and useless topics just not to mess it up). Anywayz, I''m sure LW will give us a nice solution:)

About the 2 page issue, since the forum isn't so mature/large that we have a whole flood of topics. And also, we aren't that old :P Maybe we'll leave it a bit more :) Also, maybe sometimes it couldn't be applied to certain forums e.g. Anime & Manga. There is just a whole list of fav manga there ^^

I think this is issue can be closed for the time being.

It may be revisited later in the future
