i guess clamp trio boss is on the move

So I've watched the raw. Kinda disappointing.
Show content
Jeez, what is up with them drawing Ryuu-ou with one tooth? XD It looks awful- happened with Kurogane once or twice last episode, but happened a lot with Ryuu-ou in this episode. And Nokoru's hair looks awful. >< Nokoru's always had such pretty hair. But very slow episode. Also, isn't having that ugly fat guy who showed up in Spirit kind of a big giveaway that we need to be looking out for Kyle? Sigh. I don't think he (the big ugly guy) was in the manga Piffle, so why add him in the anime? Also, once or twice Kurogane looked like he was about fifteen or so. It was disconcerting.

I thought Fai looked too young in some bits.. and there was still something unFai-ish about him. And he still seemed too depressed (I want happy Fai ;^; ). Plus Kuro seemed to have developed a back problem.. xD
Have they missed out the Piffle!Tomoyo + Kuro's World!Tomoyo ness? Or might they include that in the next episode?

Big fat ugly guy? You mean the guy who owned a cafe in Spirit, and who you saw at the end of the Spirit saga, spying on Syaoran and co? Because he was in the manga. Just not in the Pfiffle bit, I think... I didn't even notice he was the owner of the cafe, until the third time I watched those episodes! I wonder if he's Kyle's leader...

Yeah, that guy. Show content
I meant I didn't think he was in the manga in Piffle- I knew he was in the manga in Spirit. I don't think he's Kyle's leader, I think he's a tool of Fei Wong Reed, passing on orders and giving FWR info.

Yosh, just finished watching the RAW

and never was I so thrilled that there were so many CCS references or I wouldn't know what the he** they were talking about. I understood at least 85% of the entire episode. Can't wait for the sub. I liked that Tomoyo was had even more of her Tomoyo-ness, and insisted on the costume.
I was a bit scared at the ending when Syaoran tried to save Ryuu-oh, but obviously from the preview for next week nothing happened to either of them. Overall I think it was a good episode. And what really made it so great was that Sakura sounded just like the original CCS Sakura when she said Tomoyo-chan, and Tomoyo actually sounded like CCS Tomoyo when she said Sakura-chan. It really brought me back.

Just watched the ep!
I loved it when Syaoran said his name was 'Little puppy'! The look on Kurogane's face was priceless!
And yup, the fat guy was clearly an addition that wasn't in the manga. And a dead giveaway...
They left out... That CCS guy who was announcer in the manga. I forgot his name. ~_~
I have to say, Fai looked a bit better now. And Kurogane looked tooo cute! ^_^
They'll be wrapping Pfiffle up next episode, I think...
-
Oooohh.... My torrent is finally ready. ^_^
I didn't enjoy this quite as much.... Show content
What's up with the other villain from Jade being there? I don't remember him, in the manga. And Syaoran's fight scene wasn't as kakkoi as the manga version... I wish it could've looked somewhat like it did when he was blindfolded in Outo... *sigh* Though at least Fai looked a bit better in this ep. And Nokoru finally showed up. :keke: A tad bit of filler, this time around... but still... hyuu.
But whoo-hoo! This one's a cliffy! :D

YES! Yamazaki! I knew it something with a Y! Heh, he was so awesome in the manga!
-
Yeah, I miss Yamazaki, but what I really missed were the drinkies! It got my hopes up when Tomoyo says,, "Kampai!" but alas, no cute drunken crashes, or the adorable name-calling trend when Kuro tries to stop them, and no cute drunken Sakura tugging on Syaoran in her sleep!
On the plus side, I did notice new bgm this week. It was much better suited to Piffle than last season's stuff. I appreciated that. And, Makino Yui sounded just like Tange Sakura when she said, "Tomoyo-chan?" I was stunned and amazed! CCSness!

This episode was defaintly, slower in a way... :snore: but I defaintly need the subbed version! :okay: there were something's changed, -_- I fare as I can reamber, :XD: though, I thought only Sakura and Syoran, went togo to see other people, and got interagated for it? :icon_scratch: and that they figured that weren't suspects, because their liedetecter chairs, and that dinner party thing wasn't in the manga :protest: was it? :hello2:
-
Wanted to post my reactions after it aired last night but it was still locked! :sad5:
Well... it was good while it lasted. While the second season premiere seemed to have solved most of the problems from season one, most of those problems return with the second season's second episode, namely the "animated panning still shot" where the animators fill up a good minute or so by simply drawing one group pic, pan the camera from left to right and just animate the character's mouths. The last episode had none of these but seriously, every shot in this episode was like this... and the episode suffered. A lot.
I will give the animators credit where it's due though and say that all the character's looked like themeselves. Not one odd looking person in this episode. Syaoran and Ryuu-ou in particular looked great as did Tomoyo.
The music was great as always but this episode had some very questionable sound editing going on. For example, very early in the ep there's a 10 minute or so long scene with a lot of characters talking and right in the middle for no reason at all, the funky music starts playing in the background. It's like someone realised how boring the scene was and pressed play in the editing suit.
A very disapointing episode. A lot of wasted screentime where almost half of the episode could have been cut. Such a let down.
Oh, and that "one tooth" thing annoyed me too. Basicallly a lot of people in Japan think those "fang" teeth are really "cute". In a nime they're cute and a cliche and you know how Bee Train loves their cliches... :heh:

The subbed version is out!

cool episode. i liked the song playing duiring the race, is that a new one?
also, why do live evil keep mispelling Fai's name? if theyr trying to go by the official its Fay. no 'e'
i cant wait till next week.

Tomoyo was alot more Tomoyo like, and I enjoyed that very much ^__^
especially when she said 'I'm so happy' almost exactly like the CCS Tomoyo used to say when she went all starry eyed ^___^
however... (I'm not really convinced this needs spoiler tags but oh well ^^; )
Show content
When Tomoyo revealed Sakura in the cute outfit, I think more of a reaction from Syaoran would have been nice ¬__¬
a blush, a stammer, anything to show he still has an attraction to Sakura... (There was one in the manga, just a slight flush)
He's too serious sometimes ^^;
Also, when she was being given the flower, he needed a reaction there too, a hint of jealousy maybe? (not quite as mad as when eriol gave her a flower though, lol)
otherwise it was fun to watch :)

I agree. I don't know why the anime feels the need to make Syao so serious. They try to make it too dramatic sometimes, and I feel that they center on Syao too much. Piffle was all about Sakura, not Syao, but both "cliffhanger" moments in the season thus far have centered on Syao. I want to see Sakura doing her best! That was my favorite thing about the Piffle arc in the manga, but the way this is going, I wonder if
Show content
sakura is going to win the race at all. I suspect they'll let Syao win it!
and that would stink.

I was worried about that too. It was my favourite thing about the Piffle Arc: Show content
Sakura got the feather on her own merit, without the others help. It was the moment she stopped being 'sleeping Princess' and started to be 'travelling companion'. I will be VERY disappointed if Syaoran wins.
I was annoyed that the 'lie detector chairs' weren't in this episode. It wouldn't have taken much for Tomoyo to have asked them all to sit when they visited her and for her (or one of the others) to ask if Syaoran-tachi did it. It would have been better than the Syaoran/Ryouoh friendship scenes.
I just hope they go back to the 'Rabbit' country after this and put the rest of the manga in order. I wanna see the Shurano arc!
-
Syaoran can't win because..
Show content
In the preview for next episode, he and Ruuyoo(sp?) are being rescued. They are disqulified for colliding.
I'm disappointed that Yamazaki wasn't there and that fat guy from Jade was there.... ugh. And what was up with the "dramatic" ending? Totally ruined by preview.... I mean come on.... and Syaoran should have had more reaction to Sakura's costume, he looks so cold! >_<
I like the episode overall though, like Syaoran saying Little Puppy, that was rahter funny XD I mean the animation didn't go as down hill as it did between episode 1 and 2 of season 1. Everyone had looked so bad in episode 2 after wonderful animation in 1st episode. But this time, episode 2's animation good almost as good as episode 1. So I'm happy about that.
-
I thought it was ok... I found it boring at most parts because the characters talked way too much and I didn't understand what they we're saying since the subbed version is still downloading on my computer.
What was up with the Syaoran and Ryouoh scenes? It's not like there frienship will be part in the plot or something. It was so pointless!
-
Yeah, I guess Syaoran did crash.... As for Ryouoh (or however you spell it), maybe it is a seiyuu deal. I mean, the production values for an anime are way different than a manga. Clamp can draw the gang meeting 2,000 of their characters without having to pay any actors, but animating them is a different story. I think they are going to want to stick to a smaller speaking role cast, and use those people more often than they are recycled in the manga. That's just what I think, though. Could be wrong :heh:

I hadn't thought of that. XD Makes sense, the seiyuu thing. And it looked to me like Show content
Syaoran crashed on purpose.
And yeah, Syaoran in the anime is way too unemotional. I mean, the kid does have hormones. When Nokoru and Tomoyo were hitting on Tomoyo he didn't even look upset or anything. I would have been. XD But then again, Nokoru is so very gay, you can never take his hitting on women seriously. XD
-
I was very excited when Tomoyo made Sakura's costume, *sighs* the CCS memories... when
Show content
Syaoran collided with Ryuo
I was like, o.O and when Show content
Sakura screamed his name
I felt like crying. Call me emotional! I was extremely disappointed when Syaoran didn't really say anything about Sakura's costume. I mean, he was just smiling! I would expect he's at least look wide-eyed or something >.> ah, well *huggles Syaoran* Syaoran-kun will hopefully show some more emotion in the next episode, ne?

Well, correct me if im wrong.. but TRC anime was made by Bee Train, right? and Bee Train's works looks like they don't have any emotion (talk about .hack// sign)

the look on kuro's face when he said that he was little puppy was priceless XD cant wait for it to go on youtube so i can screen cap that (thats the only way i can do screen caps)
and the title for the next episode after the piffle arc hints that it might be the Country of Idols as the next world.

Does anyone else think Nokoru* Is Fye's illigetimate love child? I saw him in series one and thought OMG MINI-FYE!~ Oh wait its that CLAMP school kid. Same thing happened again lol.
*thats his name right? Blonde kid from CLAMP school detectives.
Fangs: make people interesting? Animal? Cool? ha ha my brother has fangs, one of them's a fake tooth and the other is just pointy O.o.
I dont see why they changed who got in from the manga. What was the point?

TRCSyao-kun doesnt have emotions half the time >.> I miss CCSSyao-kun, he would get angry and blush all the time ^^! TRCSyao-kun is too mature.
-
The ending was so uninspiring that I forgot Syaoran crashed (and therefore wasn't able to win and steal the limelight).
I was very fond of the Piffle arc in the manga, but I'm not enjoying it as much in the anime.
Tomoyo sounded better this episode, though. Especially when she squeeled 'Subarashi desu wa!'. Still think they should have gotten Iwao Junko (not that I don't love Maaya, she just isn't Tomoyo).
-
In the Country of Idols wich characters can we find?
-
none realy. just some furry talking rabbit/fox like creatures and a tornado with an attitude. there are no humans in htat world.
-
I see...
in your opinion, is it a beautiful world?
-
i think so. its an ididuous(sp) tropical jungle. altho black and white drawings dont leave much to the imaginaion.
-
who, among the principal characters, can we see in the most of the world?
-
like i said, the Country of Idols has no BODY. jsut a bunch of taling furry creatures. all we see is the gang
Show content
trying to get the feather from a tornado.
Show content
which gives us insight on sakura's perceptive powers. she talks top the tornado
-
the ep was pretty good, but i liked the last ep a lot better :(
-
this ep was okay...
ryuuoh looked like a girl....o_o|| compared to when they saw him in Outo anyway
-
As soon as the third episode has been aired in Japan, we can watch the preview on the Japanese site, and we'll know if the Shura arc will come after Pfiffle! =D
(I doubt the entire episode 4 will be Pfiffle.)
Edit: Okay, I saw the preview for episode 4. It's a filler episode! ;_;
A filler episode with a feather, apparently, but still a filler!
-

Hmm... My computer saves the file as an avi, and tries to play it in Mediaplayer, which, ofcourse, is impossible to do with torrents. So basically, I can't download the RAW yet until they fix that error. Unless someone can send me the actual torrent? *puppydog eyes*

Episode two was enjoyable.Looks like they'll be wrapping up the race in the next episode. I thought that episode five was going to be filler because it was called....um....what was it? The magician and the date? Is that right? Sounds like a filer-y kind of title to me.

My translater said something like... "The date with the magic teacher"
But I think that was episode 6, actually.

This was another great episode. It was great to see Ryouoh again, though I wish they had shown Sakura interacting with Yuzuriha too, since they showed her briefly in the previous episode. My favorite moment is definetly when Shaoran calls himself "LIttle Puppy" when he introduces himself to Ryouoh and Kurogane looks pissed off, like it's bringing back bad memories from Outo or something. I guess Fai must've traumatized poor Kuro-chan with those nicknames of his. I was also glad to see that they brought back the Clamp School Detectives and gave them more of a larger role this time around, since they only appeared for like five minutes in the first season. I also really liked that BGM track they played near the beginning of the episode. It sounded really cool and I can't wait for a new OST to be released.
