which one of the movies is ur fav and y??
i like the SECOND MOVIE the best of course.. i do b/c it's just so much better than the first.. :hehe:
more sakura and syaoran.. and how sakura confesses her luv to syaoran.. that's about all i need to luv this movie more than the first

well second one is better...even though i think its pretty fanfic-y ish....but i like the parts when Syaoran acted so caring/protective over Sakura....*sigh* he was so adorable. But I still think its very weird to have ANOTHER card. Like imagines, how would Eriol NOT KNOW about it!? Hard to imagine for me. And I especially laughed at the part when there was this 'capturing of bubbles card' scene...coz i always wonder what the bubble card would do....lol...and it makes bubbles and Syaoran looks dang serious about the bubbles...LOL. That one cracked me up.
And the part when Syaoran jumps the ferris wheel....*dreamy sigh*
For CCS movie 1, I slept in some parts....sorrie to offend some ppl...but really, the plot was all about WATER and more WATER. blah. But i like the way they draw HK in such a precise way...i recognize some streets in the movie. it was fun recognizing them lol.

I never watched the first movie, but I saw screen caps of it. The only thing I found interesting there was that Li's whole family was there. (The 4 sisters and her mother)
Meanwhile, I actually hunted down the 2nd movie, bought a dvd just to watch it, and loved it. :angel:
There's no beating film 2. Ever imagined what would've happened if Sakura WAS the one who was taken by Void?

I love the 2nd movie cause it has S+S elements. Somehow i feel that it's a pity that sakura confess her love so late. If she confess earlier, then maybe I can see them going out on dates! :rotfl:
The 1st one is not bad also. I was pretty amazed by how they managed to capture Hong kong so precise.

I also thought of that.. if she has confessed earlier for example, in some episode in the anime series..then we could have seen them dating. (every S+S fan's dream...*sigh*)
but then I also think that what Clamp has done really made the series more exciting! It's bit different from the usual love story anime where the characters confess their love somewhere in the episodes. In CCS, it's only in the 2nd movie for Sakura's turn to confess. :)

haha.. well that's the whole point into making them confess that late.. if they were to confess to each other much earlier.. then they wouldn't b the series that we watched.. it would b really different..

LMAO!! i have this lil movie idea in my head.. then later syaoran gets all sad and says that he will still luv sakura and no matter wat happens.. he'll b there for her.. then sakura takes a few seconds to take it in and remember wat just happens.. she then looks up and smiles at syaoran and says.. i feel the same way too. i luv you syaoran..

It's really hard for me to decide between the two, since they're both really good in different ways. Card Captor Sakura: The Movie was incredibly fast-paced, and it had plenty of action. The Sealed Card, however, was less of an action and more of a daily-life thing which I found really interesting. It also had a tad bit of romance, which I loved.

well, there's one thing in the first movie that I really liked more than in the second. It's the coloring or whatever you may call it. I just think that the second movie was colored a bit different unlike in the first one where it still looks like a normal CCS episode and I prefer that. oh well, guess they have to use brighter colors to portay the series finale...

2nd Movie. Definitly.
The 1st movie (like someone already said) had too much water in it...made me have to get up and go to the washroom every 10 minutes haha.
But, yeah. I have the Special Edition DVD of the 2nd movie and I adore it [strokes the pretty dvd box]. Syaoran is just too adorable in it, couldn't resist!

I always wonder if the Hope Card and Love card has its own powers or something....or what do both cards necessarily do??? coz 'hope' and 'love' is definately not weapon-ish...so is it just something Sakura created out of love and hope or does it actually exist?

Most definitely the 2nd movie because of the s+s plot of course. although i wish they could have had a lilttle more dialoge in the end after sakura tells him--it got me mad i wanted him to say more but aw well i alos would have liked for an inclination of what could happen in the future...sigh ... but i guess that is what Tsubasa is for....

Mostly I like the 2nd movie because it's really electrifying and it's the missing link in the last episode of the series between the confession of Sakura and Syaoran!!!! :okay: :noteworthy:

well yea i do agree if Sakura have confessed a bit earlier then we would get to see all the dating stuff....but, I don't think CCS would still be CCS if the whole dating stuff goes on and on.
Plus it would be pretty pointless to add in the movie...unless SAkura confessed before they went to the theme park...then the dating part could then occur in the theme park. But oh well dating part or not, i do agree with jovi206 that tsubasa is probably saving all those stuff XD

Clow hadn't predicted that Sakura and Syaoran will fall in love with each other. Eriol said so in the last episode of the series. But of course Clow already knows the existence of the Void card... and he might not have predicted that Sakura was gonna make the Love card. Anyway, he only made the Void to balance the positive/negative forces..etc. etc..

So actually ERiol = Clow....well at least in the anime series, so he should have known about the 'Void' card earlier, should he?
And it was kind of strange that Eriol seems to know nothing about the card. So weird.

Second movie... though I liked the first. Though some of it was a bit confusing. I actually first watched the dub of the first, but only one itsy bitsy scene was cut.. though music changed again.
Still. I LOVE SECOND MOVIE!!! Especially the music at the theme park. and when sakura is running away from rollar coaster... he he. AND FERRIS WHEEL! I agrees with you all, that is so great!!! (sighs)

2nd movie all the way!!!!! I just have to say, although it was ultra kawaii, I wanted a bit better of an ending concerning the void card, or at least how she defeated it. I really have no other complaints.... -^^- I cried happy tears at the end

yea...LOL. I still think that Void card basically does nothing, except having the ability to steal cards out of her unhappiness/ making things GONE. So actually if the movie 2 is not about this card, it might be better..like it could focus more on the relationships stuff rather than the card...as Endoh mentioned its soooo easy...TOO easy...so everytime, in any shoujo anime, the leading actress cries and then something GOOD, always GOOD happens...i mean WTH? its all TOO easy...not that i dun want a happy ending...
But the card was just so lame.

OMG totally different meaning now.. haha it's so different from the english.. i kept on complaining to my frewn about how so many things were different.. I watched the english one too first, I like the jap better, it seems just better, and the seiyuus did a god job. Besides, in the ending Sakura goes "Un!" but it doesn't in english, that's another quirk ^^

I haven't seen the movies for like 3-4 years now. e-e; I suck, but at least I've got bittorrent now and I'll be watching the movies soon enough. ^^
From what I vaguely remember from the 2nd movie, I totally loved it with the ferris wheel scene, the play...everything. The 1st one was cool but it was all in dedication to water. x.x; Kinda boring (no offense!) but i still liked it. =)
I especially love the scene when Sakura jumps towards Syaoran over some huge stairs with a gap in it or something. From when Sakura was 'fighting' with the other card...can't remember name but oh well. >.<; Their relationship is so cute, its the best out of all the anime couples I've seen. Well, at least second best. :lol:
Overall, I miss the CCS series. The only thing satisfying me nowadays that has CCS in it is fanfiction and there aren't that many good ones anymore...xP

Yeah, i think most people saw the first movie in english... there is only one major thing they changed... was that Clow & Sui Yung [the woman who could see things on water] were actually in love before, not that she wanted to tell him she loved him and thanks for bday present.
So... NELVANA PROMOTED A RELATIONSHIP! OMG!!!
But in a way they didn't. Kero said that as they grew closer, he taught her magic, but she began using it for evil, and that they no longer loved one another. Then he locked her in a dimension for eternal life. So it made Clow look bad. And think about, Clow would never do sumin like that. So Jap version made more sense.
JAPANESE VERSION:
Sui Yung didn't like Clow because he took away her buisness, as she was a magician. They fought a lot. Then on her bday, he gave her a present. A while later, she died. She locked herself in a book so she could tell him that she loved him. But she didn't know he was dead, so only when Sakura said she knew how she felt did she understand. In the dub it was telling her that Clow didn't want to imprizen her forever.
Lols. So i like japanese now.

My fav of the CCS movies is the Sealed Card! The first movie was ok, but it was kind of dragging and the humor wasn't as funny as in the tvshow. It just seemed like a lot of the jokes in the first movie were recycled stuff from the series. However, the Sealed Card movie is faster-paced, funnier, more romantic, has better animation, and I love Ashita E No Melody! I also loved the ending (one of my all-time fav anime endings) and I like the little hints at Tomoyo x Meilin and Fujitaka x Sonomi that's in the second movie.

I'm absolutely head over heels in love with CCS Movie 2. It's so kawaii! I bought the Special Edition DVD just because I loved it so much :DÂ And I adore the ending Ashita E No Melody!!! *I listen to it every now and then* The only bad part about the movie is that they didn't show Sakura and Syaoran hug even in the end :( If they had, it would've been sooo perfect~ *sigh*

I absolutely ADORE the second movie, not because of the romantic bits (I love S+S, so sue me. xD) but also one of my favorite Clow Cards is in this movie. *huggles the Void Card* I love the angelic look on her face. *___*
As for the first one, I liked it as well with the accurate Hong Kong settings and the mystery with the supposedly "evil" sorceress. Of course, I prefer the Sealed Card over the first one. So yeah. x3

yeah, like everyone said- i prefer movie 2 to movie 1- though i liked movie 1 because of the HK settings (im from hk myself) so it gave a home-y (is that a word??!! ) kind of feel to it- which i liked. i recognised some places that i think i been to before that kind of made it real in a way- like ive been where ccs has been b4!! ^_^ :lol:
movie 1 was more action i believed- but i liked movie 2 focusing on ccs- it should have been longer- and it should have shown the hug!!!! the closest they were in touching was the sugar spilt scene- thats not enough!!! :( i liked tomoyo and meiling's match maker scenes- ohhh and eriol and the crew was also in it too!! even tho a little part-

Syaoran and Sakura's story is classic, there like the best couple of all time ^^

Well, they did do the I Love You, I'm just being the fanatic I am and wanting something more. But I guess when you think about it, the ending was pretty well done, it would of been dragged out a little if it showed the stuff I actually wanted ^^

I think I do, I have never seen the 2nd movie, but I really really really really (100x) really want it! It's sounds so cool! My fav thing involving our fav couple is the sweet Kawaii'ness they have between them.

I liked the ending music in the first movie too! really good.. and hehe.. i liked the funny parts in it.. :) the ones where Sakura says 'kero!' and Kero is japanese for 'ribbit' hehe.. cute.. :)

The first was alright, but I got bored after watching it the first twenty or so times....but that may have been because I have the dubbed version. Haven't seen the whole second movie, but I've seen most of it in clip form, and have read the scripts. Kawaii!

Sakura and Syaoran galore! they are always giving eachother cute looks and its adorable!
I think the music is better also and the animation is top notch.
I watch it over and over again! (heh, I'm not obsessed :rotfl: )
I also liked all the cover art on the boxes better too. My friend got the Japanese version with a wonderful cover. <3

I agree, the action scence are pretty fast, I think they used some Computer graphics for some scences too. eg. The rollarcoaster scene.

i really like the 2nd movie... more abt saku and syaoran compared to the first... i really wish i could watch it again but someone borrowed it and i forgot to get it from them! :(( too bad... as i said the 2nd movie is really the best

No, seriously, I don't. Not even my closest friends. Last time I did that I had to go out and buy some of my CCS manga all over again...I still have to get my first 6 volumes again....my friend moved and she put the books in the "junk box" and her stepdad threw it out.

Yeah, I don't like giving out my stuff. Not because I'm a greedy biaaatch, just because people havn't prove to be 'worthy' of it. Either it's damaged, lost, NOT WORKING, or someone's little brother ripped the 12 manga into peices saying he wanted to make snow! *ummm, igonore?* But the point is, ALL my CLAMP stuff are in my closet hidden protectively!

Wow...I've just seen the japanese version of the first movie....it's so much better than the dubbed one, what with the look at Su Young's final emotions.....if I wasn't such an S + S fan, this would probably become my favourite after wathcing it!

Hmmmmm...I dunno which one to pick. *thinks* I love the first one for the voices and the story. The second english version of the movie is AWFUL! ><! I don't like the voices but I ALWAYS watch the Japanese version instead. Plus it shows Sakura and Syaoran's love for each other *chuckles*.Hmm...I'll pick..THE SECOND MOVIE! It's better and has a great story to it as well! I love it! ^-^

The second movie... It was the best by far, as it had cute little moments between Sakura and Syaoran, a stray card that they have to capture, and a kawaii like play were Sakura's a Princess and Syaoran's the Prince. Also, I felt the second movie had more of a plot, and it was more interesting. The first movie had barely anything to do with the cards, it was mainly Clow Reed and his ex-girlfriend who he left in that well.

I preferred the second movie more i'd have to say, it seemed to be so much deeper in comparison to the first, and of course i just thought the ending was superb (despite it cutting before we actually get to see Sakura in Syaoran's arms) that moment where Sakura refused to wait until the 'stairs came back' and got ready to jump, was just the sweetest thing ever!

The second movie. It contains the adorable, sweet moments of when Sakura is attempting to confess her feelings to Syaoran and then someone comes in and ruins the moment. In the release of the english dubbed verison of the movie, it has a extra of Kero and Spinel-Sun fighting over a piece of tabuaki.(sp - sorry if I spelt it wrong.) Funny and cute.
So.. it gets my vote. ^_^;

I love the second movie. It's great. The part when they act in the play and the part in wich Sakura confess her love and she thinks Shaoran don't love her back. I cry really I'm a softy. But the last scene needs another ending (the one with sakura jumping). I know that it is to let our imagination fly but a huge or a kiss maybe.
I remember the time I was trying to download the first and second movie it was a total odyssey. But I find they bot in Japanesse with subtitles. They are better in that way.

Well I have to say I found the first movie to be nothing more than a glorifed episode. Also I watched it after seeing the entire series, not the second movie, so it kinda left a bad impression on me. The main things I liked was the ending song, Tookio no Machite, it's something like that, meeting Syaroran's family and the water lady. lol ok that's the entire movie. So I did like it. not as much as the second movie though. Sakura confessing her love, them conquering everything....yeah I'm a big softie. Now this is completly off topic but going back to Syaroran's mom, is it just me or whenever a tall, quiet women shows up they instantly beat almost everyone hands down? Let's see we have Kaho, Syaroran's mom, water lady.....

Yes. The DVD gives you the option of the original Japanese voices, or the dubbed American voices. Being a true CCS fan, I prefer the Japanese version! :okay:
