I made that mistake about 2 years ago. This guy was in my philosophy class in college and I knew he liked me. He gave me his number and I gave him mine, but he would call me almost everyday. I did ignore him and he eventually stopped, but from the sounds of it, this guy isn't going to stop. In this case, it's not a good thing to be polite. You need to be honest and blunt. Being blunt is my weapon and it works quite effectively. If this doesn't work, you call the police. He's already breaking the law by stalking you.

I met this guy and we were talking and I thought he was nice and all but then I felt like he was pressing me to give him my number and I didn't know how to say no!
After I gave it to him I realised that he was kind of a weirdo, we went our separate ways but now he keeps ringing me. I haven't answered it but he keeps ringing.
My friends think that I'm really stupid for giving my number to a stranger but I didn't want to hurt his feelings by saying no!
Has anyone else experienced this? How do you let guys down gently, especially weirdo ones that you have just met?

OMG! I just had that happen to me a month ago. This weird guy that I had never met came up to me at school and started talking to me. He was nice and all but I was like "okay..." then he asked me for my number and I told him that I wasn't really looking for a boyfriend at that time. Then he left. I was sooo glad that I didn't give him my number. As for you, I'd just answer the phone and tell him that you really don't want to be boyfriend and girlfriend and that's because you barely know him. Like moezy-chan said, you have to be blunt in a situation like that.
Woo, hope I helped you!

Thanks for all the help guys. I was just hoping that the problem would go away but it was just getting silly the ammount of times he was phoning me. I have definitly learnt my lesson and will be less polite in future. The next time he calls I will pluck up the courage to answer it and tell him I'm not interested!

You go girl! In cases like these, manners do not have to apply! Just remember to keep that attitude and tell him off!
