Probably because you don't make it a habit. It has to be done repeated times I'm guessing.

Ugh, my dad is dropping hints about doing the same thing. He keeps saying, "your computer time should be only two hours and that's it!" And then my mom joins in and tells me what a computer freak I am >_< What's so wrong with being on the computer for more than two hours, anyway? Besides, I know when to draw the line! I draw the line when my eyes get sore XD Just kiddin'.

My mom was like that when I first got my webcam. She actually thought that people could hack it and find out where we live. She wouldn't even let me go on after 11pm O_O or in my pajamas. I eventually got her to lighten up, and now she let's me go on in my pajamas. Let's just say I have excellent powers of persuasion. ^_^

My parents don't really notice when I'm on the computer for a long time then resurface (haha) at night for bed. They only notice when I take little breaks between computer time. That is weird! I go on the computer less when I take little breaks, and more when I only get off for bed! They only talk about my computer time during those little breaks and sometimes ask me what I'm doing that's so important.
I wish I had good powers of persuasion! My mom is so stubborn, not relenting until I have an "appropriate" or "approving" reason for her to do so. My dad says yes, but doesn't really give me the thing I want until I keep reminding him XD ^^;
