I have no love for this.

Bah. I wish you wouldn't have periods unless it was a time in your life where you wanted to try for kids. Then high school would be so much easier...because what's the point in getting a period at 17? Or 14? Who even wants kids then?

--- End quote ---

It's not so much that we have a period so we can have children. It's because our bodies are preparing for it and helping us deal with it until we're ready. If we didn't get it until we wanted it then we would never want it again because we couldn't stand the pain. By having periods now we learn to mature our bodies and our minds.

Jeannette:
Too many kids do have kids. I've been reading in Anthropology about how many societies that marry off preteen and teenage girls to men twice their age... Geez, I can't imagine being pregnant now, and I'm nineteen. I can't imagine anybody wanting a kid until they were eighteen, at the very earliest. You just can't handle it before then, and the truth is NOBODY is ever ready to be a parent. Every parent I've ever spoken to has told me the exact same thing.

Misogyny and treating women like breeding machines makes me so sick. I'm so glad we have choice and birth control in our society.

Shiunu:
I agree with you Jeannette. I'm glad we have a choice as well.

I don't want to go to the pain of having a kid... I could never be a good kaa-san... ><

What are hormones anyway? I can't really understand but they're sometimes mentioned for sexual things... >.>
