Jeannette:
That's a difficult question. I think most people in that kind of situation are like, "How should I act?" Actually, on any date I think people think that. After all, if you knew exactly how to act on a date, it would be pretty boring, wouldn't it?

I would be pretty casual about the whole thing, but let him know you're interested. Hmm... so much about relationships depends on the individuals involved. It's hard to give romantic advice without really knowing both people involved.

Ruby Chan:
Well, we're both really shy, quiet people, who share most of the same classes but hardly ever speak...we used to talk when we were ditching PE together and sitting out at the side, but now the boys and girls do sport separately....

I've gone to see him play in the school concert a couple of times, and tried to get closer....but we're too quiet, and we keep falling into awkward silences...

So I'm afraid to go in case it happens again, and because I won't have a clue what to say.

That help?

Jeannette:
Hm... You're both quiet. That does make things a bit difficult. Comfortable silence is one thing, but uncomfortable silence is another. What topic of conversation is the most comfortable for you guys?

Ruby Chan:
I've normally either asked about his music or things like Christmas, etc....but now there's nothing like that coming up. We haven't really had much chance to talk since PE...people keep interrupting.

I'm going to text him soon saying yeah...but I have no clue how to act on the actual thing  :dontknow:

Jeannette:
I'd say that you should probably keep things casual and friendly but not too light- don't start talking about the weather or something like that.

He's probably just as nervous as you- remember that. :-)
