Oh well...

I would love a job in a library. I'm usually quiet by nature so I'd love it. Unfortunately my job consists of feeding the masses, and it is exhausting! Ganbatte on getting that job on campus. And even though I'm not a theater major, I know how it feels to be busy. I've busied myself this semester. I have such a workload it's unbelievable!

itsafactiact:
I don't even know what my workload is going to be, my classes haven't even started so I'm scared, last semester was surprisingly easy on the homework situation because I basically had none but this semester is going to be different. oh man feeding the masses is a tough job, good luck with that! I have a Borders really close by so I'm tempted to apply to that but the only time i'm free is weekends and i'm sure they won't hire anyone who only works weekends, plus I have the most over-protective mother who does not want me to work on campus and not having a car doesn't help the situation either.

I hate my job -_- it's like moezy-chan's... I'm looking for one where I can design, use computer...  or maybe theatre, would be great to start on my passion :D

Jeannette:
I have a job on campus too... But I live on campus, and about five minutes from my job, so it's a good situation insofar as that goes. But I'm a cashier at a bookstore... and being a cashier has got to be the most boring job ever. All those books, and I can't read! I'd love to work in a library, because I'd probably get some chance to read all those wonderful, lovely books. The good things about my job are that I get to work with two of my really good friends (Sarah and Nicole) and my supervisor Jan is an absolutely lovely person.

One of the really bad things is that currently we have about a dozen temp workers, and most of them are really obnoxious and rude. They are way over-possessive of their cash registers. For instance, say that one of them comes back from lunch and finds you on the cash register that she (all of them are women) was on before lunch. Most of them will stand behind you waiting for you to get off -their- cash register, even if there's another cash register that they could get on very easily. It's hugely annoying, and it holds up business, because I have to sign off of the cash register and sign on to another one, and then they have to sign on to their cash register. And I think some of them steal from the cash registers, because they come up short when they count their drawers. (Though, if they are stealing, it would make more sense for them to move from cash register to cash register, because it would make them harder to catch.)

That must su** LadyUltima. I would hate that! As for itsafactiact, our lives sound similar. I have a very overprotective mother that won't give me any freedom, and it doesn't help that I don't have a car either.  -_- I desperately need one, but my parents take most of the money I have. The don't want me to leave home.

If anything, my mom thinks I want to become a teacher because I'm getting vengence on her for being homeschooled. She still thinks that I liked it! And when somebody asks me if I liked it, and I tell them that I don't, mom will say, "Aww, come on honey. I know you loved it."  There's times I can't stand my mother!
