After all, I ruined my body by not eating, and I'm paying the consequences now. If I hadn't given up food I wouldn't be anemic.

To think that I didn't eat right before, I was fat then and am I was worried about becoming overweight so I went a diet, and I overdid it too. My brother told me that its not good for my health if I keep doing what I did, so I changed my eating habit, I learned to eat the right amount of food, not too much but not too less either.

I did that too. I remember when I was about 18 years old, before I started college, I had a job as a busperson cleaning tables. I went early to work and ordered my dinner and I was going into the breakroom when one of my coworkers saw me bringing the food back. At this time I had lost 30 pounds (250 pounds to 220 pounds) and went from a size 18 to a 14, so I though I was doing very well with my diet, when the coworker told me, "Maureen, there are some people who eat to live; you live to eat."
It really hurt my feelings, so I started to starve myself after that. I went from a 14 to a 12, and 2 years later I went from a 12 down to an 8. I'm still at a size 8 and I weigh 174 pounds, but I wasn't satisfied. I didn't want to lose anymore inches, but I didn't want to go back to where I was. If I gain 10 pounds, I take it as gaining 100 pounds.
I'm starting to learn how to eat again, but I don't like it. I'm not used to it.

Same here. My parents would constantly tell me to eat, and I wouldn't because I would end up throwing the food up. They thought I was bulimic, but I wasn't. I tried to fight it, but I couldn't stop throwing up. Turns out, they did an endoscopy that looked inside my body, and found a reflex action in my stomach. My stomach couldn't keep the food, because it wasn't used to the food, so it took it as a foreign object, like a virus and removed the food. I'm getting better at eating though, and I have pills for nausea. It's been almost 2 weeks since I threw up!
