Thank you, and yes, we usually do. It's my dream to become a 2nd or 3rd grade teacher, and I still feel the need to help my family. My mother cannot do it alone. If I left her to take care of anybody else, she'd collapse, so I feel the need to help in anyway I possibly can.
My father has suffered from cancer, and diabeties, and my brother has schizophrenia and autism, and my sisters are developmentally slow, and my mother is 64 years old. She can't do it alone, which charme-chan, I cannot afford to be selfish. They need my help, and when life gets too stressful, I will always have this forum. This calms me. I can take my stress out on the keyboard and not on myself.

Kyaa, moezy-chan, I'm the same way! I'm basically a human door mat and everyone walks all over me and as soon as I complain (not even about them, about ANYTHING!) They claim I am an unappreciative person and that I whine too much when all I do is sit around and listen to their problems and make everything as comfortable as possible for them! I hardly EVER complain, but when I do, it's all: "Oh my god you ALWAYS blame your problems on other people!" or "Oh my gosh everyone is ALWAYS mad at ME!" when I'm like, NO it's YOU who is always mad at ME! Sometimes I think SOMEONE (either me or them) is crazy, because they literally do NOT understand! It is almost freaky, like an episode of the twilight zone, where the viewer knows the main character is right, but everyone else on the show think he/she is crazy? But the audience can see the point clearly? You know what I mean? *sighs* But that's not important... OK now that I vented, I shall go back to you, moezy! Hmmm.. maybe what I really need to ask you is why do you feel like you need a guy in your life? I mean, is it a reason that needs immediate attention, or maybe could you wait until you're out of college and get your career started before you look? And you don't really need to go on a blind date, you could just ask a friend to introduce you to a guy, but act like you're meeting as friends. (Of course, your girl friend who takes you to him will be informed of your true motive, XD but then you guys could all go out as a group together first, ne?)

Wow moezy-chan...
You are so my role model.
I also understand where your coming from when it comes to taking
responsibility and being helpful for your family.
My father died of cancer when I was nine....and my older brother
passed away two months ago in a motorcycle accident.
I've come to terms with my loss, but the rest of my family takes it pretty hard.
So I have to be strong and work hard to help my family.
My mom said it's her dream to see me graduate from either
Georgia State or Georgia Tech and thats where I plan to go.....
If only I knew the occupation I want to get into. u_u

Thank you. That's very flattering. And I admire you. My father may have had cancer, but thankfully he's a survivor. It must be harder on you to lose your father and brother. My brother moved out but he's also still alive. Also, good luck with finding a major.
Let me tell you something I wish I was told when I started college. Think of the one thing you love more than anything in your life and most likely that will tie into your major. The one thing I love more than anything is children. I'm the youngest in my family, and I never had a little brother/sister, and because of that, any child that I came across I treated like my little brother/sister. It's this reason that I was able to decide to become a teacher.
Think about it, and the answer will come to you. Don't go looking for it. I looked for 2 years for a major, and teaching came to me. Your major will come to you, and it will bring you such a joy that's undescribable.
