Howl's Moving Castle

<< < (5/11) > >>

Cardcaptor Takato:
I just watched the trailer for Howl's Moving Castle that was posted here and it looks really, really, good!  It looks like this is going to be one of the best Miyazaki films yet!  I love Miyazaki-san's works, so I'm really looking forward to this movie!  But since this movie has already been licensed for the U.S., even if Howl's Moving Castle is released on DVD in Japan, does that mean there won't be any fansubs for it?  I sure hope there will be because I want to see this movie so badly!  I can't wait for the R1 DVD release!  Maybe the R2 DVDs will have English subtitles on them, since I think all of Studio Ghibili's other movies have subtitles.  It's a shame that this movie is only getting a limited release in U.S. theaters.  Why can't Disney understand that anime is a lot more popular than it used to be and give these movies the proper theatetrical release they deserve?  Spirited Away even won an Oscar despite the fact that it had a limited release, so why can't Disney give Howl's Moving Castle a chance with a U.S. wide release?  Sigh, this movie most likely won't be playing in theaters around here.  It's too bad too because this looks like such an awesome movie.  Does anyone happen to have a list of which cities this movie will be playing at?

satsuki-chan:

And Ruby Chan, the blonde haku is from this movie XDDD

Ruby Chan:
He does look kinda like Haku...but not that much, so that's good. But on the Japanese site, the grey haired young gril in the beginning looks just like Haku!

This film looks great! I hope it comes out in the Uk!

fisah:
It will come out in the UK, I have a friend who is in love with the book by Diana, a english author, so it will be aired there, at least, that's what my friend told me.

Howl does look like Haku a little, mind you, there is a hair color difference.

Ruby Chan:
I love the book too...but the sequel was rubbish....I hope that doesn't get made into an anime movie too...

And I do get what you're on about with the Haku/Howl thing...I just think the grey haired girl looks more like him, LOL.
