Discussion topic for what's probably the only good tournament anime out there.

Feel free to talk about anything related to the anime or manga.

Angelic Layer fell into one of those rare categories for me in enjoying the anime series MUCH better than the manga. Story aspect was different, especially the ending which the anime's version to me made more sense. I'll explain more via spoilers in later pots.

Kasawa Lanford:
The Manga and Anime were both good, but the Manga got confusing since in the manga they changed Suzuhara's age and grade.

But other than that; the tournaments weren't that bad though I would've preferred more fighting. Though the annoying squid is another matter entirely :P

IIRC the anime came out while the manga was still being written, thus the inconsistancies between the two, especially toward the end of the series.

Can anyone verify this?

Well.

In the anime, Misaki found out about her mother when she bellowed that out just before the last match - which promptly freaked Misaki out.

In the manga, Misaki out out about her mother after the match was over (and she lost) and ran her mother down, claiming she knew it was her all along because 'she's her daughter'
