WWE Smackdown Results: 7-29-11

Results courtesy of PWTorch.com (direct link to Park's complete report). Condensed here to in-ring results only.

1 – CHRISTIAN vs. JOHN MORRISON

Truth was shown watching the match on a monitor backstage. Christian was taken to the outside early on, and had to get Morrison to back up to get in the ring. I’m surprised they gave away Morrisons’ return match with such little fanfare, but then again, they probably don’t think Morrison will move the needle anyway. Still, it makes the guy seem like a big deal when you advertise his return ahead of time. Flying Chuck kick by Morrison for two at 1:22. Morrison dove onto Christian on the outside of the ring. He went back in as the ref admonished him and they went to break at 1:58 of the match.

Back at 6:20 with Christian in control. They showed Christian shoving Morrison back (and neck) first into the barricade. Morrison avoided a Tornado DDT and came back with clotheslines and a jumping leg kick. Flap jack by Morrison after Christian dodged Moonlight Drive. Spinebuster by Christian for two. C4 by Morrison for two, but he clutched his neck after the pin attempt. Out of nowhere, Spear by Christian for a near-fall. At 10:00, the two men fought on the top rope. Morrison landed a back body-drop. He tried a moonsault and landed on his feet when Christian moved (well, he didn’t exactly stick the landing). Christian brought Morrison neck first over the top rope, then hit the Killswitch for the win.

WINNER: Christian, at 10:35. Had to think Christian would win here, but not sure why they had him go over Morrison, who looked a bit rusty.

2 – NATALYA & KAITLYN & AJ vs. ALICIA FOX & ROSA MENDES & TAMINA

Natalya tried a crucifix roll-up, but Tamina held on. Tamina kicked her off on a Sharpshooter attempt, then gave her a Samoan drop. Fox, with a new hairdo this week, put Nattie in a head-scissors. Natalya, still in the move, got to her feet, then dropkicked Fox when she was stuck in the Tree of Woe. AJ made the hot tag and took Fox down with a headscissors. Running knee to the face, but a pin attempt was broken up by the heels. They were taken out by the other faces. Fox walked into an elbow in the corner, but AJ missed a cross-body block. Scissors kick by Fox (quite ugly) picked up the win. Cole said AJ was wearing argyle out of the Kerwin Silfies collection. Silfies is a director on WWE TV programming.

WINNERS: Fox, Rosa, and Tamina, at 2:12. Hard for Kaitlyn and Rosa to improve when they don’t get to see action, short as the matches are.

3 – MARK HENRY vs. BOBBY HOWARD

Howard looked the part of a nervous jobber in the ring. Henry grabbed Howard by the throat, lifted him up, and dropped him down. World’s Strongest Slam by Henry. Then another. Then a back-breaker for the win.

WINNER: Henry, at 1:06. See, squash matches CAN be effective.

Henry went to ringside after the match and grabbed a chair from ringside. He set up Howard to destroy his ankle, as he had done to Show and Kane. Long’s music played and Teddy ran to the ring to stop Henry. He said they go way back, but Henry can’t compete anymore. Henry yelled that he wants competition and said, “this is the trash you bring me?” Long said there’s already a lawsuit pending and he can’t let him do this. Then Sheamus’ music hit and he walked to the ring. Now this is how you can turn a guy babyface.

Sheamus took the mic from Long and volunteered to fight Henry. Sheamus said Henry is just big, and after all, Henry even said bigger isn’t better. Sheamus told the story about a high King of Ireland who had an illegitimate son. He said a fairy once came and tapped the bastard on the shoulder, turning him into a 420 pound bag of crap, that being Henry. Crowd chanted for Sheamus. Henry said Sheamus talks to much so Sheamus decked Henry. Henry paused, then charged at Sheamus, who low-bridged Henry out of the ring. Sheamus held Henry at bay with a chair, so a frustrated Henry threw the top of the ring steps at the ropes. Henry decided to survive and fight another day, so he headed to the back as Sheamus’ music played. Nicely done here.

4 – THE USOS vs. THE NEW NEXUS – WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH

Double elbow-drop by the Usos early on. Michael McGillicutty took over, then tagged David Otunga. A roll up by Jimmy Uso for two. Otunga settled into a rear chin-lock at 1:15 of the match. Jimmy tossed him into the ropes and connected on a heel kick. Both men made tags and Jey took it to McGillicutty. Booker complained of the lack of quick tags, 1:46 into the match. Otunga broke up a pin, then hurled Jimmy off the apron and to the floor. Jey went to the top for a splash, but Otunga, with the ref’s attention diverted, knocked Jey off the top rope. McGillicutty with a neck-breaker for the win.

WINNERS: New Nexus, at 2:31. That’s almost insulting that a tag title match would go that short, especially since it seems like they’ve been building up the Usos lately.

5 – EZEKIEL JACKSON vs. CODY RHODES & TED DIBIASE – HANDICAP MATCH

Cody’s baggers were ever-present before the match. DiBiase and Rhodes did some double-teaming at the start, but Jackson knocked’em both down. DiBiase got Jackson down and choked him in the bottom rope. Neck-breaker by DiBiase. Teddy Jr. got shaken up and tagged Rhodes in. Multiple bodyslams by Zeke, then he put Cody in the Torture Rack. DiBiase broke it up and was thrown over the top rope for his troubles. Rhodes tried his finisher but Jackson shrugged it off. DiBiase distracted Jackson, who ended up missing a corner charge. Cross Rhodes on Jackson for the win.

WINNERS: Rhodes and DiBiase, at 2:25. Again, seemed a little short for where these three are in the feud.

6 – R-TRUTH vs. RANDY ORTON

A few shoulderblocks too Truth down as Booker touted Orton’s “professionalism” inside the ring. Is this the same Orton whose character is that he can’t control himself and often goes too far? Jumping heel kick got two for Truth at 1:35 of the match. The fight went to the outside, and Truth got the best of that exchange. “R-Truth sucks” chant from the Philly crowd. On the apron, Truth poked Orton in the eyes, then brought him down over the top rope with a stunner. Jaw-breaker by Truth inside the ring for a two-count. Christian came out to get a closer look at the match at 3:26, and they went to break at 3:37.

Back at 7:15 of the match, with Orton beginning a comeback. However, it was brief, as Truth connected on his Lie Detector for two. Truth came off the top and was nailed in the mid-section by Orton. He got a boot up on a Truth charge and Orton steamrolled him with clotheslines. Rope-assisted DDT at 9:48 of the match. He set up for an RKO. Truth and Orton instead went to ringside. Christian got on the apron on the other end of the ring so the ref couldn’t see Truth hit Orton in the head with a water bottle. Truth went into the ring as Orton stayed on the outside, water bottle in hand. He took a sip, then entered the ring and tackled Truth. Orton rolled to ringside and grabbed a chair. Christian was already headed up the ramp when Orton connected on a chair-shot to the mid-section of Truth, drawing a DQ.

WINNER: Truth, via disqualification, at 11:30.

After the match, Orton began to take apart the announce table. He knocked Truth in the head with one of the monitors, and you could see he was bleeding a bit from the lip. Christian was shown watching atop the ramp, covering his mouth in shock. Orton RKO’d Truth on the announce table – it didn’t break. Orton got to the bottom of the ramp as Christian uneasily held the title. Orton put his hand on his head (Cole assumed he was hearing voices). Well, he was…the crowd chanted “one more time.” Orton adhered to the crowd’s demands and RKO’d Truth a second time on the table. Again, it did not break. His music then played as he alternated between smiling and frowning, while Christian clutched his title close to his chest on top of the ramp as the show closed.

- CM Punk opened up RAW along with Triple H for the first 20 minutes...

1 -- #1 CONTENDER DIVAS BATTLE ROYAL

Divas champion Kelly Kelly was on commentary, creating a four-person booth to fight over airtime during the first two minutes. The bell sounded and participants from the Raw and Smackdown women's rosters started flying out of the ring. With it down to a near-Final Four, they cut to break at 1:55.

The Bellas, Eve, and Beth were still in the match back from break. The Bellas eliminated Eve, then celebrated as if they won, but Beth eliminated them to win the match. Afterward, Beth celebrated the win and Kelly joined her in the ring, but Beth turned heel with an attack on Kelly. Beth then grabbed the mic and told Kelly her title run is over.

WINNER: Phoenix at 7:12 to become #1 contender - Kelly vs. Beth at Summerslam. Exit Kharma and (finally) Enter Beth.

2 -- THE MIZ & R-TRUTH vs. JOHN MORRISON & REY MYSTERIO

The bell sounded and Cole picked up the social media plugs again, telling viewers to vote on who should be real WWE champion, which could influence Hunter's decision later in the show. Continuing the "appearance of change" theme, Cole is handling most of the commentary, with Lawler adding color, and Ross adding a few comments here and there. As the match progressed, it shifted to Ross handling the wrestling play-by-play and Cole handling the social media/announcement aspect by continuing to plug Miz's presence in pop culture last week. The match went to break at 2:10 after the faces cleared the heels to the floor with some high-flying offense.

Back from break, the heels were working over Rey after taking control during the match. Ross tried to stress the value of the WWE Title by discussing Rey's rollercoaster night last week when he won and lost the WWE Title. Prior to that, WWE completely missed that "human interest" story after Rey's promo wanting to take the title back home to his family last week. Cole continued to plug Twitter items from WWE as they reached the top of the hour with Rey still in trouble.

Mysterio continued to take a beating from Miz and Truth as they reached 10:00. Miz then tried a top rope move, but Rey intercepted Miz with a mid-air dropkick. Morrison then hot-tagged as Truth tagged in. Morrison got some of Truth before clearing Miz to the floor. Morrison scored a nearfall following a standing Flux Capacitor before positioning Truth in the corner.

Morrison wanted Starship Pain, but Miz pulled Truth out of the way. Rey then splashed Miz on the floor to take him out. Back in the ring, Morrison with an A.J. Styles-style Pele Kick on Truth. It positioned Truth for the 619, but Miz yanked Rey to the floor and tossed him over the guardrail. The crowd was hot before Morrison KO'ed his former partner with a step-up enziguiri. Truth then surprised Morrison with his finisher and it was good for the win. Cole framed it as Miz sacrificing himself for the good of the team.

Post-match: Miz, holding his jaw to sell the kick from Morrison, then grappled Morrison from behind and delivered the Skullcrushing Finale. Ross called it uncalled for. Cole said it's 2011 and that doesn't matter. More of that third theme that Raw doesn't have True North on the compass to set up heels to get heat and faces to overcome injustices. Ross added to the show helps, but Cole taking over commentary washes out Ross's voice. Truth then brought in his Steel Water Bottle to smash Morrison in the face to add insult to injury. Miz and Truth celebrated to conclude the segment.

WINNERS: Miz & Truth at 11:04. One of those Raw matches with a good dose of athleticism to excite the crowd, not amounting to much more than a self-contained segment, and giving the announcers a chance to talk up pop culture. (**)

3 -- WWE tag champions DAVID OTUNGA & MICHAEL MCGILLICUTTY vs. ZACK RYDER & SANTINO -- non-title match

The heel tag champs worked on Santino early on, prompting a "We want Ryder" chant from the vocal males. Cole said Ryder is the self-proclaimed Internet champion and he spent $1,500 on his own title belt. He said it's as goofy as Lawler buying his own crown. Lawler asked Cole about speaking into a microphone and calling himself a broadcaster. Ryder hot-tagged into the match, which drew a reaction, then Ryder delivered a Broski Boot as Cole continued to heel on Ryder. Santino tried to get involved with his Socko-like Cobra, but was cleared to the floor. Mike then blocked a Rough Ryder as Ross strategically referred to Mike's background, noting he has good DNA. Moments later, Otunga scored a pin on Ryder to douse more water on Ryder.

WINNERS: Otunga & Mike at 2:25. More of that "appearance of change" getting Ryder in a match on Raw, but not doing anything with him.

4 -- EVAN BOURNE vs. ALBERTO DEL RIO

Bourne scored with an early head scissors as Cole continued to heel on Ross for being "special guest" for a few weeks before Summerslam. Lawler shot back he's permanent. Cole then talked up Del Rio's resume, including he's a former mixed martial artist. Heel Cole continued to engage Dated Lawler before Ross tried to bring the focus back to the match. And back to Cole vs. Lawler. Meanwhile, Bourne tried to fire back on Del Rio with kick strikes before quickly going up top. Bourne was then intercepted by Del Rio, who dropped Bourne with an enziguiri. Del Rio then followed right up with the cross arm-breaker center-ring. Bourne had no choice but to tap out after fighting for five seconds.

Post-match, Del Rio celebrated the win before pointing down to Bourne to gloat. Del Rio wasn't done, though, and reapplied the arm-breaker on Bourne. Ross asked if Del Rio is trying to prove a point. Kofi Kingston, in street clothes, then stormed the ring and chased Del Rio, who quickly left the ring. Kingston called out to Del Rio to come get some before checking on Bourne.

WINNER: Del Rio via submission at 3:39. Basic storytelling to reinforce Del Rio as a viable threat to the WWE champion, whoever that turns out to be.

- Final segment of the show was Triple H determining that John Cena will wrestle CM Punk for the undisputed championship at SummerSlam (another 15 minutes or so of talking).

1 -- JTG vs. KOZLOV

Kozlov completely dominated early on, toying with JTG while having fun with his costume. JTG then punched Kozlov in the mouth, which turned happy-fun-time into Kozlov-beats-up-JTG time. Kozlov knocked JTG into the corner and they cut to break

Back from break, JTG was in control and executed a flying dropkick. Kozlov's undershirt became torn up in the process of JTG working him over. Kozlov, with some blood on his nose, suddenly got that crazy look in his eyes and made his full comeback. Kozlov eventually finished off JTG with the Iron Curtain for the pin and the win. JTG's music hit and Kozlov did some dancing to celebrate. He wasn't done, as Kozlov grabbed Grisham's cell phone ringside. Kozlov, with big MMA gloves on, managed to take a picture of himself planking on JTG's lifeless body.

WINNER: Kozlov at 7:40. It is what it is with Koz. As Greg Parks said in his real-time Twitter stream, it's WWE's version of trying to make Lance Storm or Dean Malenko seem interesting. I guess it beats Kozlov vs. Hunter for 15 boring minutes in the ring.

2 -- TITUS O'NEIL (w/Hornswoggle and A.J.) & MATT STRIKER vs. DERRICK BATEMAN & DARREN YOUNG

Titus worked against his fellow Rookies for the first 90 seconds before Striker tagged in and aggressively went after Bateman. Regal said it's an old thing where you always bring your gear to the building because you never know. Striker executed a dropkick as Grisham knocked Striker's win/loss record. Meanwhile, Hornswoggle wanted a sip from the 7-Eleven cup sitting on the announce desk. Swoggle then grunted and moaned, according to Grisham, as Grisham suggested Swoggle could be a jockey because he's so small. Regal noted he's a bit flummoxed. "Heh?" Swoggle asked. Grisham mercifully went to commercial with Bateman on the floor following a clothesline from Titus.

Back from break, Swoggle and A.J. were playing games with food as Regal tried to get them to leave him alone. Meanwhile, Striker and Young traded holds as Striker tried to turn back the clock. The heels then settled into an extended beating on Striker, while taunting Titus in the process. The crowd became angered as Regal noted the lactic acid is starting to build up in Striker to slow him down. Grisham added he saw Striker put down three pieces of chocolate cake at catering earlier today. The announcers eventually threw a question A.J.'s way, but cut her off when Striker nearly scored a sudden pin before D-Young cut him off again. A.J. kept talking as Swoggle looked on with puppy-dog eyes. Regal asked them if they need the number to his therapist.

At 10:25, Striker finally made the hot tag to Titus, who cleaned house with clotheslines over and over again. Titus then executed a powerslam on Young for a two count as Young visibly called a spot mid-cover. The action broke down moments later, then Young found himself in harm's way taking the sky-high bomb from Titus for the pin and the win. Ringside, Swoggle and A.J. clapped it up while Titus hugged it out with Striker in the ring. All four then celebrated in the ring as Regal said all of the kids are overjoyed at this joyous occasion. Grisham said it's like the finish of a Lifetime movie. Greatest Line Ever. The four continued to celebrate in the ring as the show ended.

WINNERS: Titus & Striker at 11:18. Oh, NXT. Regal made this watchable with his latest dose of superior commentary. Nothing on this show matters and, yet, they continue to stall for time until the next elimination/conclusion of the show.

WWE Superstars Results: 8-4-11

In-ring results: PWTorch.com (direct link to Caldwell's complete report).

1 -- ALICIA FOX vs. KAITLYN

The announcers played up a back-story of Fox having a problem with and trying to hold down newer women's wrestlers on the roster. Korpela described Kaitlyn as "brawny," prompting a paper towel comment from Striker in response. Korpela added that she squats over 300 pounds. Fox went to work on the rookie Diva as the crowd sat quietly. Meanwhile, Striker and Korpela continued to discuss the Cena vs. Punk match and Striker suggested they could see a new side of Cena at Summerslam not seen before. More methodical pace in the ring as the crowd tried to rally behind Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn was never able to sustain an offensive comeback and Fox finished her off with a scissors kick for the win.

WINNER: Fox at 5:18.

2 -- BRODUS CLAY vs. PAT SILVA

Striker said Clay represents the New WWE - "bigger, badder, and better." Clay clubbed on Silva with repeated kicks and stomps as Striker alluded to Tyson Kidd's old managerial storyline that if Clay is looking for representation, he's available. Korpela said Clay is tired of being a bodyguard and he believes it's his time. Clay eventually finished off poor Silva with a flying splash - labeled the Fall of Humanity - for the pin and the win. Striker called him the future of WWE.

WINNER: Clay at 1:56. Effective squash getting over all of Clay's signature offense. The theme music needs work, though.

3 -- KOZLOV vs. PRIMO

The bell sounded and JTG joined the announcers on commentary to explain his issue with Kozlov. This prompted a discussion of planking, then whether Stanford is more gangster than Mathews. In the ring, Kozlov delivered a head butt that sent Primo reeling to the floor. Back in the ring, Kozlov easily tossed Primo around and continued to give him a beating. Primo then found an escape route with a chopblock and began working over the left knee. On commentary, JTG encouraged Primo as he went for a top-rope move, but Kozlov met Primo with a mid-air headbutt. Kozlov made the cover and it was good for the win, much to JTG's chagrin. JTG noted he wasn't impressed. Kozlov then flashed a look toward JTG before strutting in the ring after his win.

WINNER: Kozlov at 3:42. A little stretch for NXT "cross-promoting" the two domestic online shows. Otherwise, standard Kozlov fare.

4 -- CHRIS MASTERS vs. JACK SWAGGER

Swagger became frustrated early on when his amateur wrestling offense couldn't secure a pin, so he bailed to the floor for a breather. Meanwhile, the announcers stressed Swagger's desire to get back to the mountaintop after tasting the World Title last year. Unrelated, Stanford noted he's trying to get some information out of Masters on "dating an A-List celebrity." Stanford dated himself a decade by listing the female cast from "Friends" as guesses he ventured, but Masters "remained tight-lipped." As Masters went to work on Swagger, Stanford said both men are looking to move up the ladder under Triple H's new regime. Swagger then popped Masters across the back of the neck with a forearm smash before starting an attack on the neck/upper back. Both men were selling the effects of the match as Stanford fed to break.

Back from break, Swagger was parading around in the ring as the crowd showed their displeasure. The two men went back and forth before Swagger went for the left knee to try to take Masters off his feet. More gloating and stalling from Swagger instead of following up on Masters, who was then able to tease the Masterlock. However, Swagger escaped, but walked into a Samoan Drop. Masters then made his comeback with a clothesline and spinebuster for a two count. Swagger cut off Masters, then went for the running Vader Bomb, but Masters blocked. Masters teased the Masterlock again, but Swagger countered into the Anklelock. After the work on the knee, Masters had no choice but to tap out.

WINNER: Swagger via submission at 11:45. Solid back-and-forth match. It was also quite noticeable during this long-form match how much Stanford has improved on commentary since becoming Raw's Superstars announcer several months ago. He sounds much more polished and knowledgeable of the in-ring product compared to when he started out.

1- MADISON RAYNE vs. MISS TESSMACHER

Madison was still yelling at Tara as the bell rang, so Tessmacher jumped her early and did her much more visually pleasant version of the stinkface right off the bat.

But from there, Madison Rayne took control and slammed her down by her hair. Madison kept slamming her face into the mat and then stood up to scream at Mickie James. While she had her back turned, Tessmacher rolled her up for a pinfall win.

WINNER: MISS TESSMACHER in 1:30

After the match, Madison got up and assaulted Tessmacher. Mickie went to help her but Angelina Love attacked her on the ramp. Mickie got the better of James but then Winter came in and knocked Mickie over. Angelina held Mickie's hands behind her back and Winter decked her in the face with the belt. Winter taunted the unconscious Mickie as commercial hit.

2- A.J. STYLES vs. DEVON - Bound For Glory Series Match

The match started with the announcement that Styles, Daniels and Kaz would be facing Steiner, Gunner and Abyss at Hardcore Justice. Lots of stalling early as the crowd chanted for both men.

When things got going, both men traded counters before A.J. Styles hit his drop down, leapfrog, dropkick combo. But Devon fought back as The Pope walked out to ringside to sit with Devon's kids. Devon regained control with a spinning elbow but then he saw Pope at ringside and got distracted.

When he got back in the ring, AJ moved out of the way of a splash and put Devon into an armbreaker. Devon had to fight out and made it to the ropes. Both men continued to trade hands before A.J. hit a Pele Kick for a near fall.

But as A.J. stood up, he saw Christopher Daniels sitting at ringside and was his turn to be distracted. When he got back to the ring, he missed his springboard and tweaked his knee, which allowed Devon to get the quick rollup that A.J. kicked out of just after the three count.

WINNER: DEVON in 3:30 to earn 7 Bound For Glory points

After the match, Devon reluctantly went to ringside to see the Pope, who Tenay informed the audience would be facing him in a BFG Series Match at Hardcore Justice. Meanwhile, Daniels and Styles argued their way back up the ramp as Daniels said that A.J. had been avoiding him for two weeks.

3- SAMOA JOE vs. THE POPE - BFG Series Match

Morgan made a nice observation about Pope's amateur boxing background and Joe's temperment as the in-ring action started slowly. Once things got going, Pope's quickness was enough to hit a dropkick and a pair of arm drags to put Joe in a submission.

Joe fought back but Pope got out of the ring, causing Joe to chase him. This caught Joe with an Atomic Drop and some quick strikes to take Joe down. Great commentary from Morgan in this match, saying that the second Joe got a submission on, things would be over.

Devon made his way down to the ring but Joe transferred an arm drag into a Cochita Clutch and choked out Pope to win the match.

WINNER: SAMOA JOE via submission in 2:30 to win 10 BFG Series Points

Joe wouldn't let go after the match and Devon held his kids back from helping Pope. The ref warned Joe to let go and when he didn't he overturned the decision.

WINNER: THE POPE via DQ in 2:30 to win 3 BFG Series Points

Samoa Joe chased the ref backstage but he ran into the camera instead. He started channeling CM Punk as he said he understood now that the people in charge didn't want him anywhere near the Championship. He accused them of putting him into ladder matches, 3 way matches and putting crooked refs into his one vs. one matches. Joe said from this point now, the blood was on their hands.

4- BOBBY ROODE (w/ James Storm) vs. HERNANDEZ (w/ Anarquia, Rosita & Sarita) --- Street Fight

Roode came in like a house of fire and took Hernandez down multiple times with clotheslines before clotheslining him over the top rope. While Hernandez was down, Roode hit a slingshot splash onto him at ringside.

Roode then went to get a chair and hit Hernandez in the gut and across the back with it. roode threw more weapons into the ring before smashing a trash lid over Hernandez's head.

But Hernandez fought back and threw Roode face first into the steel post. He got a two count on the floor before grabbing the trash lid and hitting Roode. He threw Roode back into the ring and then hit a slingshot shoulder block to take Roode down.

Hernandez then took his belt off and smashed it over Roode's back twice before wrapping the belt around Roode's neck. But Roode fought back with punches before Hernandez clotheslined him down and smashed a trash can onto him for a two count.

Roode rolled to ringside, where Hernandez tossed him into the steel ring steps, hitting with his shoulder first. Back in the ring, Roode fought back with the trash can lid and felled Hernandez into the corner. When Roode charged him, he got a foot up into Roode's gut.

Hernandez pulled himself to the top but Roode pegged him in the head with a trash can and hit a big superplex. After both men got back up, Roode decked Hernandez thrice with a Kendo stick, the third time right between the eyes. Roode then hit his second rope neckbreaker onto Hernandez for a two count.

Hernandez was cut wide open and Roode held his arm 6:00 into this very physical match. Roode went for a shoulder block but Hernandez used his power to block him across the ring. Hernandez went for the Border Toss but Roode countered out and hit the RR Spinebuster.

He then locked in the Fujiwara Armbar that he used to hurt Ric Flair and it was enough to get him to tap. The issue was that the ref was distracted by Rosita on the ring apron and didn't see it. James Storm tried to come over to help the ref but Anarquia hit him in his injured back.

Roode no-sold a Kendo Stick shot from Sarita but when he chased her out of the ring, Hernandez rolled him up from behind and put his feet up on the rope to pull out the victory.

WINNER: HERNANDEZ in 7:15
