Lomachislots War - Lost Childhood (Original) ~
Kasawa Lanford:
In their home, Lorea and Manson sighed. "This war is moving to fast..." Manson said as he took a sip from his tea.
"Nine Tails is apperently the only one amongst them that realize's the true danger... the academy is the primary target, but thats not the only target in this town," Lurea said.
"Sis?" Yoko said from the stairway. "Can you read me a bed time story?" she asked.
"Sure thing Yoko, give me a minute though please," Lurea said. Yoko nodded and went back upstairs to her room. "I hated having Yoko realize her power at the age of five... but it was the only way to thwart every action the enemy has thrown at us.." Lurea said.
Manson sighed. "Yea... but Yoko use's up alot of energy just using her powers for several seconds.. Nine Tails doesn't have that problem does he?"
"Nope, he's mastered his abilities and doesn't get tired. I know those kids 'will' though once they start actually using their powers." Lorea said, she looked at the empty cup in front of her and sighed. "This war will be fought by our children, not the army, air force or marines... god I can imagen the horrors that'll be instore for them..."
Manson nodded and looked at the window. Outside the storm had settled down but he could feel its intensity, "tomorrow will be a very stormy day," he said.
Lorea nodded. "Yes, but its merely the calm before the real storm begins... we'll have to be ready to spirit those children away from the battle field and to a safe haven, so they can be taught how to use their powers.."
"And their families?" Manson asked.
This time Lorea sighed in frustration. "If there anything like our parents, they'll fight to make sure their children aren't taught how to use their powers... but by 'law' we have to evacuate them to..."
"Law.... and yet the military keeps 'us' on a very tight leash." Manson said as he got up out of the chair and walked over to the window. "Those chains will break when this town is attacked.."
"That's what our military wants..." Lorea said. Her brother looked at her in disbelief, "they want us dead?"
"There are factions within this faction that don't trust us magic users and would prefer we just drop dead... in other words they fear what they don't understand, and besides, what better way than to have us all in one location? Why do you think the miitary hasn't spirited away those children under the pretense that they are carrying a deadly disease? Because they know those kids will die anyway in the battle..." Lorea said and got up. "That's you and I, along with Nine Tails and Amaterasu, must protect those four kids as while we evacuate them to the sanctuary... and thankfully no one will be able to follow us there," Lorea smiled.
"A dimension that exists that only magic users can enter. And only I can enter because i possess a medallion," Manson said and ran is hand over a small round object that was around his neck. The object was of pure gold, with an insignia of a dragon clutching an arrow and a sword.
Lorea nodded. "It's just a matter of time...." she said.
Director of Music:
Andy's handsome face scowled. "But dad!-"
"No buts, Andrew. I told you didn't I? To think it through? That's my final word, Andrew. Go on and take Finny to your room."
Andy sighed heavily as he trudged through the door.
Phineas was on the couch, drifting off, watching the television.
"Finny, comeon, I'll take you to my room."
Phineas nodded and walked over to Andy's room. He had been here enough times that the Baldwins thought of him as a second son.
Back in the parents' room, Andy's father sighed and rubbed his temples. "I knew it would come down to this..."
Andy's mom came in a little while and sat next to her husband, wrapping him in her embrace. "Are you alright, Greg? What did Andy ask you about?"
Andy's dad turned and gave his wife a kiss on the hand. "Oh, just man-to-man talk. Andy knows more than I thought." He smiled at her. "Don't worry, it wasn't anything important. Let's go to sleep. I'm completely worn out from that dang hospital."
She laughed her soprano laugh, and turned off the lamp. In a few minutes, they were both asleep.
In Andy's room, Andy was muttering furiously to Phineas as to what happened. Phineas was even more so shocked. "Your DAD?"
"Yes!" Andy said through gritted teeth. "Why didn't he ever tell me?" Andy moaned. Phineas shrugged.
"I suppose we all have our reasons from keeping something away from loved ones..."
Andy rolled his eyes and threw a pillow at Phineas. "I don't want to hear your intellectual talk tonight, Finny."
Phineas rolled his eyes. In 10 minutes time, they were both fast asleep.
Kasawa Lanford:
One Week Later
During the course of the week, Sakura had spent her time after school in the chorus club practicing. Anise and Rin had also been watching along with their newest friend - Yoko.
Yoko was amazed and excited to hear Sakura's wonderful voice, in some cases she almost fell asleep as how soft it was.
Then came the big day of the music assembly; the chorus club would be singing several songs to the students, amongast those however were four songs that Sakura would be singing on her own.

"Anise! Time to wake up!" Her mother shouted from downstairs. Rin was already awake and combing her hair, dressed in her winter uniform due to the hot weather outside. "ugh... I hate mornings..." she heard Anise say as she got out of bed.
Rin smiled and went to help her twin sister out of her pajamas. Rin didn't seem to be bothered by the fact that she had to dress her sister every morning and every night, she had done it enough times that it was just automatic. "Its very cold outside so we'll be wearing the winter uniform," RIn said as she placed the winter uniform on the bed.
"I thought it was always winter here?" Anise rasped. Rin shook her head, "last friday it was very cold in the morning, but then the weather changed so suddenly that the school was worried some students might pass out from heat stroke," she said as she rolled up the sailor dress and brought it down over Anise's head and body. Anise straightened the uniform out while Rin straightened her collar and scarf, she then put a light red bow on, instead of the normal light blue tie.
Rin's own uniform was slightly different; because she was a council student the trim on her uniform was gold and not the standard red. Once Anise was dressed and ready the two grabbed their school bags and headed downstairs for breakfast.
Director of Music:
Phineas awoke first, surveying his surroundings. He got up and stretched, and washed his face, brushed his hair, etc. He took Andy's uniform, because he knew Andy wouldn't be bothered wearing it again. As he put the uniform on, Andy woke up. He was in a better mood.
"G'morning, Finny! Ugh...you're wearing the uniform..."
Phineas nodded. "I wore yours because I knew you wouldn't care. It IS the music assembly, and Mr.Connery wants all of us to dress nice. I suggest you wear a suit or something. I mean...you COULD request the other uniform if it bothers you THAT much."
Andy sighed. "I don't like uniforms either way, Finny. It takes away our indi-....indvi-"
Phineas replied, "Individuality?"
Andy sighed. "Yes, yes." He took out his black jacket, white collared shirt, and blue tie, along with black slacks and shoes. After he was dressed, the two boys headed toward the kitched where his dad was already gone and his mom had made breakfast for the two boys. After eating rather rapidly, Andy and Phineas ran off toward school.
Kasawa Lanford:
After breakfast Anise was given her medicine, once she gulped down the nine pills she and her twin sister RIn left for school. Along the way they stopped at a flower shop and bought a bundle of flowers and then headed to the local cemetary.
A grave stone marked the location of the twins oldest brother, who had been killed in the war just a year ago. "I wish you were still here, big brother... you would always play with us, take us to the park, read us stories, and even turn the hose on us when you were cleaning the car," Anise said, choking back tears.
Rin watched; she had a bitter memory of what happened to her big brother. She was visiting her big brother at the base when it was attacked by the enemy, she had seen him blown to peices by a mortor round, the image burned into her mind, it was something she saw every night before bed and sometimes during the day.
Often times she ignored it, but sometimes she couldn't and would just start crying. Anise wasn't there, but Rin realized that some-how Anise had seen the same thing she had, which was why Anise feared war and death, and didn't want any part of it.
"C-come on Anise.." Rin said and walked up to her twin sister and placed her hands on the girls shoulder. Anise looked up at her and nodded, tears in her eyes. Rin took out a hankerchief and wiped the tears from Anise's eyes. The two of them then headed to the school, once they got there they took off their walking shoes and placed them into the locker and then took out their school shoes.
Rin was glad that Anise could at least tie her own shoes; when her mother said that she would responsible for all of Anise's needs (minus a few) she had worried that Anise couldn't tie her own shoes, but was thankful when she discovered that her twin sister could. "Homeroom first period, then after homeroom the teacher will take us to the assembly hall huh?" Anise said. Rin nodded and the two headed to class.
In the assembly hall, or rather, auditorium, another student was practicing for the assembly. She sang at almost the same level as Sakura, but wasn't as good. The chorus teacher wanted to make sure the students singing would carry well, and she was glad when a staff membe gave her the thumbs up. "Excellent!" she said. "Ok students, we have an hour before the assembly. Some of you are probably thirsty from spending the past thirty minutes practicing, god knows some of you have been here all night," she said and looked at Sakura and three other students, who smiled back at her.
"Head to the cafeteria and get yourselves some breakfast," she said, the students bowed and left for the cafeteria.
She sighed. "This will be the greatest assembly ever!" The chorus teacher said excitedly as she left.
