Syaoran resembles all his sisters, and I've always imagined Daddy Li to have a sort of auburn colour hair... Cause Syaoran's hair is aulburn (dark) and his sisters have a simular hair colour to Sakura, so that makes sense. Anyway, I agree that Syaoran probably got his personality from his father... But then again, where the hell did Xiefa, Feimei, Fuutie and Fanran get their personality from??? I kind of always wondered if Syaoran misses having a male role model or maybe he was very close with his father... So that's what made him so stubborn, his father's death.

When you consider that Wei, Syaoran's carer, is the only one whose shown him friendship... I think it's natural to look shocked to see his own mother kissing Sakura... Whom she's only known for 18 hours... lol! I don't think that Yelan shows Syaoran coldness, as she seems to feel her son's aura and things. I think she's just hard on him as he will be the Li Clan Leader one day and he has a lot to deal with.

I also think the kiss is Yelan's affection to Sakura as some one who will be her daughter-in-law one day. *fingers crossed*

There is one thing I've noticed in the series. I believe that during the time that Mizuki-sensei came was when Syaoran started to like Sakura, but he was confused between her and Yukito-san. But after seeing Yelan kiss Sakura, his feelings started to deepen. The snow card was right after the first movie, and even though Yukito-san gave her the watch, he offered to help her find it.

I think that by Yelan kissing Sakura, it showed that he was allowed to love her. I honestly believe that Yelan was the person who helped Syaoran with his feelings more than any other person on the show, even if they didn't dwell on it.

^WOW!! I never even though about that before, and it makes perfect sense.
She showed that there is something special about Sakura w/ that kiss. That she already has a bond with her in such a short time. When syaoran sees that his opinion of sakura must have changed. If even his calm and emotionless mother likes her, there really is something about her.
