Sabbe-chan:
Well, it worked for me now..

--- Quote from: SLi on March 03 2007, 05:18 pm ---I've finally managed to solve the slowness issue.

It took an upgrade of the database server to do it, as well as the forum software.
As a result somethings are different/missing for the moment (due to the upgrade)

1: Themes - our custom themes have bugs due to missing/changed functions in this new version, they will be fixed and made available again soon.
2: Arcade - incompatible with the new version, will try to update - UPDATED
3: Forum shop - again incompatible, may or may not return.
4: Characters remaining on post topic/reply screen missing. Will return shortly.
5: Who is online is at bottom of the index page now, will see if I can change.
6: Recent posts mod was incompatible, will try to update. - FIXED
7: News forum topics not showing in all forums, will try to fix.
8: Gallery picture not showing yet, will return.
9: New feature: Edit post limit time, after post is made, editing is only available for 30 minutes after its creation. Edits after that time can be requested by PM a mod/admin.
10: Lost of Spoiler tag - will return shortly.

I don't think I've missed anything, I'll do my best to get the forum back to the way it was.
At least it is as fast as it used to be  ;D

Arcade is not functional but then, who really uses it anymore? Waste of space with the games currently in it.

bit strict. tvrage.com has the same rule, but its still a bit too strict :-S

Arcademan:
No edits allowed after 30 minutes?!! Not cool. Thanks for for killing the Cartoons and Comics A-Z Game since it can no longer be updated.

D.J.P:
I didn't even think of that.

Hmmm. See what I can do about excluding that.

Most forums have the rule simple to prevent posters from screwing up the topic by changing their posts.
Its more and more common, in fact excluding this one, all but one of the forums I visit stops editing after a short time (and that is a fair few).
I'll turn it off for the moment, but it might come back

Arcademan: Sorry about that, didn't even think of that need  :'(
