i saw that too. one second doumeki steals a piece of his bento, and then makes FUN of watanuki's name for the bird, and htne 2 seconds later says its cute nonetheless XDD

Well I'm kinda late with reading this new chapter. (I read it a couple of minutes ago :sweatdrop: ) It was ok, nothing big happened but it was a intersesting conversation Mokona and Yuuko had I think. I wonder what FWR needs souls for..? And that bird, Dandelion is so cute! ^^

I don't get why people think just because recent chapters are Himawari-centric that they think that KuroFai will become canon faster than DouWata. With all the effort they've been putting in those two's relationship I find it hard to believe it won't deeper than that knowing them. I think they're just giving Himawari some development that she lacked greatly.
Besides, didn't the recent chapter subtly give us fanon fodder? They already act like they're married.
Show content-Watanuki cooks food for Doumeki. Doumeki in turn protects Watanuki.
-Both are mean to each other. And, even though it might be hard to imagine on Doumeki's part, they like it.
-Watanuki does something stupid like say, give up his right eye to save Doumeki's eyesight. Doumeki goes batshit and gets angry at him.(if you know men you know where I'm going with this)
-Doumeki gives his eye and his blood to Watanuki. I'm betting you can't legally get married in Japan so this is as good as it gets.
-Watanuki recieves egg as payment for drawing water. Since Doumeki helped him carry half the load he, by rights, should have equal custody of egg.
-Watanuki 'births' the egg. No matter what he says(aww your firstborn mommy!Wata! XD)
-Said egg has Doumeki's abilities(durr?) and Watanuki's kindness(see! what you tell your kid in the womb really helps you know?).
-Watanuki names the bird. Doumeki makes fun of name then later calls it cute.
You know, for all the cheesy-ness of romance novels, if I didn't read any I wouldn't be able to read between the lines.
The problem in general:
- Watanuki is mean to Doumeki cuz of his attitude(thats what he says) and has been so mean that he believes Doumeki must hate him in return. Thus it is impossible for him to percieve why Doumeki would do such and such for him. It also doesn't help that they're both guys. Hey I know this is CLAMP and all but if it was just Watanuki, I don't think he's even thought about being gay..............yet.
-I know these silent types. They're actually shy. It's the haugty kind of shy that people often mistake as a sign of arrogance or aloofness. But Doumeki is still a hard case to crack. So I'll just hazard a guess. According to popular opinion, Doumeki likes Watanuki. But, again, even if this is CLAMP we're talking about, its not that easy being gay, especially if you're the one of the most popular guys at school.Oh damn I forgot that he doesn't give a rats *** :P Anyway, Doumeki really isn't giving any real effort to win him over(Doumeki is the most whipped guy in CLAMPverse imo) but he doesn't mind protecting him(bentoes and macho-guy complex). I give up, the only one in HOLiC with the ability to read Doumeki like and open book is either Yuuko or Watanuki(he's catching on fast enough).
