XXXHOLiC Manga Discussion (Spoilers may be present!)

Oh, Doumeki/Watanuki is an adorable pairing; despite their inability to see eye to eye (no pun intended) they really care about each other deep down. I don't know if it will be canon though, because xxxHOLiC is published in Yangan, and Clamp is kind of pushing the borders with their little hints. Yuuko is awesome--she's totally pushing the two of them together. ^_^

I voted for totally. ^^ I love DoumekixWatanuki/Dounuts/104... and all the other names they're called! X3

As for Himawari and Watanuki... o_o, I agree with the theory out there that Watanuki is more attracted to Himawari for her powers... like Syaoran was attracted to Yukito. Plus, I'm a DouWata shipper through and through! ^^

It's... cute, and arguably more interesting to watch than the first, but it doesn't really fit the series  . And Maru and Moro have no feet! Also liked it much better before Mokona jumped in. He just looked awkward lol.

An hour ago I would have agreed, but I've watched this enough times now to find the song endearingly catchy, and I now prefer it to Reason (who knew I was so fickle, lol?)

After watching episode 14 and seeing that ending, I agree with you that it doesn't really fit the series. X3 But it's still a cool song. Reason was "mellow," and this one is... "eccentric." XDD And I like Maru and Moro air guitaring.

I like it too, it just isn't very XXXHolic-ey. Maru and Moro were cute though! And it looks like we're gonna get the twin story in more than one episode. I'm glad they didn't try to cram it all into one...

The twins' eyes look funny. Like, not very... alive.

if their doing 2 epiosdes for the twin thing, most likly the next ep will be when watenuki takes the pipfox to zashiki's mountian followed by the eye arc...but what about the woman in the park? id REALLY like to see that cuz in that arc doumeki smiles at the end

Awww. Yeah, I love it when Doumeki gives us his first smile [of the series. I'm sure he's smiled before in his life.] ! I also loved the surprised look he gets on his face when he realizes Watanuki doesn't hate him! ^_^

ne, from what i can surmise from the titles, i had originaly thought that the ep "Circumstances" was the eye arc, but perhaps its the woman in the park one. they HAVE to run that BEFORE the eye arc or they'll end up destroying the chemistry of the doumeki-watenuki pairing.

wow... a xxxholic thread... I kinda watched up to episode 2 in the anime series... But even in those episodes, I could really sense that, semi-confusing mood which can be found in the manga, and yuuko looks so..... seductive... o.0

it was a lot more interesting to watch then Reason but it really doesn't suit the anime

Oh, question! It some parts of fandom, I've seen the black Mokona Modoki refered to as "Larg", while the white one (that's mostly in TRC) was called "Soel". Is that from XXXHOLiC? Or a CLAMP interview? Or was it just fans making stuff up?

I've never heard those names in the episodes of xxxholic/TRC before, and I doubt that CLAMP would call em that, so i guess it's just names fans made up just to differenciate the 2 mokonas...

I'm not sure since I've only read the first two books, but I think those are names from Magic Knight Rayearth, where Mokona originated.

Theyre from the Mokona picture story book "Soel to Larg: Mokona=Modoki no Bouken" (which is cracktastic and full of YuukoxClow goodness. Someone translated it on live-journal a while ago.. Wow, thank you, Znuese! That is such a...bizarrely CLAMP story. Poor Yue, living with two eccentric alcoholic magic-users and three spaztastic animal-type creatures. The symbolism with the runes is really interesting. It corresponds eeriely to Tsubasa and XXXHOLiC.
