Ahhh...y'see, this makes me sad, but at the same time it's also justifiable.

I mean, I love the original PPG. I'm a closet fan (not anymore) and I think the show is really fun to watch...but it's kinda annoying that it's made into an anime for me, because I think it should've stayed an American cartoon...I mean...we don't remake an anime so it's in American cartoon style (possibly because it'd be way too much work...)...

...but at the same time, we tend to slaughter anime on the occasion. (Read my lips: ONE. PIECE.) so I suppose if this turns out bad it's justifiable. >>

Buttercup's hair looks awesome though.

Who knows? Maybe I'll see it and like it, but right now...that's what I think.

The One Piece dub makes me cry inside. Sanji sounds like he's dying. Of a throat disease. Except how could that be possible, since he gave up cigarettes for lollipops?

But otherwise, I agree with the original being much better. I used to love PPG, it was funny (to me) and wasn't overly girly. It was very original, especially for the type of shows you get here. PPG was awesome the way it was, I think dubbing in Japanese it might have been sufficiant.

Then again, look at all the animes we've slaughtered (eeeh... I guess I'm not American so I can't say 'we', but I think Canadian dubs probably screwed up somewhere, seeing as it's rare to find a good, quality dub.) and it's not as bad in the long run as... well, One Piece for example, which was pretty much raped by 4Kids.

I don't have anything against the PPG turning into bishies, but I guess the American PPG does have a charm that makes it different from the Jap PPG.

WAIT A MINUTE! Their transformation sequence looks like the one from Kamen Rider Ryuki! (the part with the belt, that is.) And then they have ice cream in the middle of the fight with Mojo Jojo. Just a random thought XD.
