The main premise of Pita Ten is comedy from the start, but it shifts to drama in the end.

Espo:
Its strange, they say some things are comedy, but really they aren't... eg. Furuba... thats not comedy...

But Pita ten is comedy till about the last two books, where its tears tears tears.

Yup, it actually a 180 degree change. I was like "wha?" since I watched the anime first.
