Numb by Linkin Park....good song, and it fits any angsty anime characters there are! Literally! I've downloaded about ten different versions with diff characters, and all the characters go well with the song!
This has to be one of my fav songs of all time...I didn't used to like Linkin Park, but now I think they're awesome!

LP do good for angst, lol. one of my fav AMV's has LP's In The End song on it with DBZ's Vegeta.
but i think "Where are you now?" by Ian Van Dahl is a good one for an AMV

Linkin Park is awesome (especially when you're angry! Heh.) Sugarcult is good too. But my favorite band is by far Yellowcard! (Don't ask me why...)

Yellowcard is pretty good. I like Rough Draft, the acoustic version...the original isn't that great.
Or Powder, that is one of my favourites
