Fukitaka can be too nice...it makes you wonder what sort of past he had....

Well, Fujitaka really doesn't have any past, from what you learn about him in the manga....

Well, if Fujitaka wasn't born 23 years old, then maybe he would have had an interesting past. But I don't know that yet, since I haven't read the manga.
