It does seem like Gilbet is, but remember, him and shinn would be like the danger duo in a sense. Esepcially since Gilbert doesn't have much 'powerful' supporters.I think Athrun would've been his helper. I mean, Gilbert obviously wants people who can make an impact. That's why he wanted a lacus imposter, a FAITH member who had some previous war expereince, and now Shinn, mayvbe his only powerful supporter.

does gilbert know about seed modes? because that's the only thing that's connected between athrun and shinn.
i also don't get it. gilbert is the chairman. why would lacus have more power than he would? wouldn't everyone just trust him. if they don't, why elect him as the chairman in the first place?
