"Wake Me Up When September Ends" - Green Day
LSD:
Good song, but not the best work of green day.
Fai:
Its a great song, but really like Endoh and a few others said, it is repetitive.
The music video really fits in with Remembrance Day, not to mention it is very moving. (Well thats the case with me anyway :sweatdrop:)
quimmy:
I like the whole story of the album as a whole (the Jesus of Suburbia plotline etc.) but I'm not very fond of the song by itself. Plus it's on the radio every ten minutes over here.
--- Quote ---One interesting thing about their last CD.......it was a last ditch attempt to hold the group together after a long while of arguing and not speaking to each other. According to a documentary, they poured all their insecurities into their songs (eg. Billy Joel wrote Boulevard Of Broekn Dreams because he feels all alone, and unable to share his songs with the rest of the group).
It was said that if this album, with all the political statements and heartfelt songs, didn't do well, then the group would have permanently broken up under the strain.
--- End quote ---
I heard as well that the original album had been stolen so they remade the whole thing and the success of the remade AI kept them together.
