Gravitation opinion

do u want to know a story that all gravitation fans will be mad about :angry:, well at least it made me mad :angry: (is about something that happend to me) :
I lend my DVD of gravitation, where i have the complete tv serie and the ovas to one of my friends two months ago or soemthing like that, so after 2 months she gave me my dvd back one week ago so i asked her if she had liked the serie, you would never guess what was her answer, she told me that it was the worst serie she had nerver seen before.
i was like what i almost thought that she was just kidding me but she was serious then she continue complaining about the serie, like this:
my friend: it was horrible, about two men in love, seriously what were u thinking when u downloaded this serie? i only saw the first 3 episodes because i thought it was hopeless to waste my time on it.
Me: u most be kidding Gravitation is a great serie, only because is about two men falling in love it doest mean that is bad or wrong
my friend; thats your opinion not mine. two man falling in love thats just to wrong.
Me: really? so tell me whats wrong about it? is love right? so what could be wrong about falling in love with someone?
My friend: i have nothing against love, but i'm against man-man relationships.
well it was something like that i don't remember very well. But i really got angry with her, i mean, is ok if she doesn't like the same anime series i like, but she said that about gravitations just because there were two man kissing each other, :cussing:

Gravitation is a good series, as long as you're open minded. Maybe she's just not used to it, but actually, Gravitation is the anime series that got me into shounen-ai, so I hold it in high respects. I think Shuichi summed it up in a scene from one of the episodes... when Hiro found him in the rain: "Is it wrong to want to be with the one you love?" Or something similar to that. And then he pounded his fist into the ground. Gaah, that was a touching scene... I still remember most all of it, even if I don't have the series with me anymore (I actually borrowed it from a friend too, hehe).

u are right as long as you're open minded is a good serie. but it made me mas what she said i just can't forget it "i'm agains man-man relationships". she is my friend but i'm still a little mad with her. i think that man-man relationships are not bad for example touya and yukito, kurogane and fye are cute couples there is nothing bad about it. as long as u truely love someone it doesn't matter who u fall in love with. if is with a man o women is love right?

Exactly, cute_me! That's what I think too. Even though I've personally never fallen in love with someone of the same sex (^_^;), what makes relationships like that so precious is the fact that it doesn't matter what they are gender-wise... they just love each other for who they are inside. It's love without borders. And then the yaoi-type situations are an added bonus. ^_~ Ohohoho...
But I know how you feel too. I have a hard time telling some of my friends that I find these relationships cute and lovely. They'd look at me weird... O_o *sigh* If only they'd understand, ne? ^_^ I only know two other people who are into anime like Gravitation, and I don't even talk to them much.
(Heehee... This probably should go into the Shounen-ai and Yaoi thread! XD Ah well.)

i also have some friends like that. my best friend is one of them but it doesn't matter to me i also helped him to get a boyfriend they are such a cute couple! but i also have some friend that look at me a little weird because they are my friends and when they comment something abou my friendship with them i get really but really mad.
