Really?? My school's anime club meetings are on Fridays too. haha. That's weird.
I don't like my anime club. It's really weird. They don't really do anything good. >__< Don't like it. But I think it's the most popular club. There's a lot of people part of that club. haha

well.. our most popular club would have to be dance club. there's a choice between hip hop, stepping, break dancing, ballet (oddly enough), and my favorite.. dance dance revolution! `=)

Anime Club meetings at my school are always fun... we bring anime to school to watch every week. I think someone introduced me to Hellsing before I actually got it from my friend to watch... and we share manga as well as do other stuff like playing Uno. ROFL! There's always at least one group of people you'll find playing cards and TCGs (like YuGiOh) and drawing fanart and stuff. And of course, on last days theres a party with... a lot... of pizza. Lol

I don't think we have any anime conventions around here, and even if we did, you couldn't pay me to go. As anime obsessed as I am, it still doesn't get rid of my fear of crowds or my claustrophobia. I would probably get a panic attack. I'm perfectly content just talking about it on the internet, where I don't have to be in a crowd with other people.
