The Shadow, The Sand, The Shot, The Time, The Silent, The Dream, The Twin, The Big, The Dark and The Return are definitely male in drawing and appearance. Others may be as well but is hard to tell because of the drawing style of CLAMP.
17 cards are symbolized by creatures, symbols and objects :wink:

17 of them are items, objects or creatures. It is entirely possible that the cards themselves don't have gender period...only a similar make of what may be a humanoid form of their particular power, devoid or unbound by complexities of gender.
