It IS Emiko Shiratori. If you listen to the english version, you can immediately recognize her voice. Square-Enix didn't ask other singer to sing Melodies of Life. Only Shiratori-san did. Or maybe the one your brother found is a fanmade. I mean, some fans sing the song and make it available to download? Who knows.

Uh, a couple of days ago I found a Tsubasa AMV on YouTube...(really funny XD) and it was to this song...
It's called Escapism by a group called AnCafe. (Actually, I've seen it spelt different ways: Antique Cafe, An Cafe...) and I was wondering if anyone had/knows where I can get an MP3 of it...because it's such a good song and it's also STUCK IN MY BRAIN so I keep humming it. Which is annoying XDD
