Cardcaptor Sakura Themed Story
Chapter 17: Chapitre XVII
(by Arcademan, added on 2005-12-28 11:50:08 AEST) [Discussion Topic]

Tumbling through a long, winding corridor of flashing lights and sound, the mortal form of Black Adam, known as Teth-Adam continues to fall uncontrollably until the entire world around him went dark. When he opened his eyes, he found himself lying on a grassy knoll, none the worse for wear.

"Am I here? Is this the Earth that resides within the Arcademan Universe?" Then Adam saw a pair of shadows creep from behind. When he turned around, he saw the two...Arcademan and Parrillusia.

Parrillusia turned to Arcademan. "This is where I sensed the portal from Earth-S. No sign of The Darkness however this person might have seen something happen."

Arcademan looked at Teth-Adam. "He knows more than you think, Pixie P...this is Black Adam...at least his human form. What are you doing here on our world, archmage?!!" demanded Arcademan.

Adam turned to the two heroes. "You know who I am and what I'm capable of. I wish nothing more than to conquer Earth, along with that damned wizard and Captain Marvel but I will never forget nor forgive the being who humiliated me when I first received the power of the gods. Bah! I don't need your help once I shout out the name..."

SHAZAM!!!

Nothing happened.

Arcademan grabbed Adam by the shirt collar and lifted him high in the air, his other fist ready to plaster him. "You forget...your magic word does not work here in my world. Now, if you're done flapping your gums, I have a proposal for you. It seems like we have a mutual enemy in The Darkness. Swear allegience to defeating the mage and your powers will be restored and you can help avenge your defeat from times past. Don't...and I open the portal and send you back...DEAD!"

A look into Arcademan's eyes by Adam and he knew he was not bluffing. In his last trip into the Arcademan Universe, Black Adam attack and almost killed the heroine known as Flora. She, in return, poisoned him with her thorns and almost died himself. He knew deep down, the heroes of the Arcademan Universe would kill...like him. This is a world he could easily call his home but his dreams of controlling Earth-S overpowered those thoughts and if The Darkness were allowed to destroy it all, he would be denied what he felt was his destiny in life.

"Okay, Arcademan. Deal. We will deal with our common enemy first...then worry about the aftermath for another time. You have my word."

Parrillusia grabbed Arcademan to the side. "Do you know what you're doing, Arcade? His aura reeks of evil. You cannot trust this person!"

"Pixie P...of course I don't trust Adam. However, our options are low...and he does have the power we sorely need to help the cause. Besides, it's not like I've dealt with the devil before...not the first time...won't be the last. You know what to do."

Parrillusia nodded to her friend and then raised both of her arms into the air. After concentrating intensely, she pointed her right arm at Adam and fired a bolt of lightning. A flash of light and smoke enveloped the man and then when it all cleared, the black costumed being with the gold lightning on his chest...BLACK ADAM...had returned.

"Heh. Now I shall reward your kindness!" However, as Black Adam attempted to lung at the two heroes, another came from behind and grabbed the villain, holding a single thorn to his neck."

"Remember me, bastard?!!" The person was Flora, who held the thorn right to his skin. "I should kill you where you stand for what you did to me!!! Arcade told me otherwise so all I can do is THIS!!!"

HELL'S IVY!!!

Vines shot up from the ground and then surrounded Black Adam's left wrist. Then the vines fell apart, only leaving a bracelet made of vines on his wrist. "These vines are mystical in nature. You cannot break them off...you cannot slip out of them. Any attempt will release the thorns through your skin and inject poison within you. You will be dead in under a minute. I swear it!!!" A sly smile came over Adam. "You heroes are a lot like me than I even imagined. I will not betray you. We will defeat all aspects of The Darkness or die trying!"

"Adam...you and Parrillusia trade notes. Your experience in The Darkness' abilities will be invaluable to..." Before Arcademan could finish his sentence, he felt a tug within his belt pocket. Opening it up, he saw the 8 sided Powerstar flashing.

"Sakura Kinomoto is in mortal danger. I must go to her and her world. The Darkness may be already conquered the Cardcaptor World. Send me there, Parrillusia...NOW!!!" demanded Arcademan.

Black Adam whispered something to the elder faerie, then she turned to Arcademan. "Black Adam told me that before he came to our world, Shazam telepathically communicated with him. Once he was freed from being the prisioner of The Darkness and Doctor Sivana, he would project a mental shield around Earth-S. We should do the same here since obviously The Darkness has been communicating with himself between the void, coordinating the attacks against the heroes of three worlds. We can do the same thing however once done, there can be no travel between the worlds. If you decide to go to Sakura's Earth, you may not be able to return."

Without any hesitation, Arcademan said, "I'm going. Black Adam can help out here. Sakura's world lack the heroes we have here and on Earth-S. If The Darkness even conquers one world, then there may be no stopping him. Once I'm gone, set up the shield. We must do this now!"

Parrillusia opened a portal and Arcademan darted through it at super-speed. Once in, the portal closed immediately. Meanwhile, in an undisclosed location, The Darkness looked puzzled.

"Damn. The heroes have found a way to cut off communications between the three worlds. I am at a temporary disadvantage but let them bask in their apparent glory. Even at one third of my strength, I am more than powerful enough to defeat them and take over Earth. Only with its destruction will my revenge against those accursed wizards be complete!"
