CHAPTER ONE

EARTH-C: HOME OF THE CARDCAPTOR SAKURA KINOMOTO...

2011 has been an up and down year for Sakura as many changes in her life had
taken place since she collected all of Clow Reed's cards and became the most
powerful magician in her world. She has had many adventures including but not
limited to protecting Japan from both mystical and natural disasters, a
memorable encounter with her friend from another Earth named Arcademan as she
teamed up with him along with many other exceptional individuals from three
worlds to defeat the powerful enemy known as The Darkness. Meeting her
doppelganger from yet another alternate reality and entrusting that world's
Sakura with her Star Staff as her own mystical powers could now be fully
controlled by herself without the staff but probably the toughest thing Sakura
did...finishing high school and was now enrolled in Tomoeda University, along
with her best friend in the whole world, Tomoyo Daidouji. Now a new adventure was
about to take place, one Sakura knew about for years however was unsure of what
the outcome was to be...

Syaoran Li.

Syaoran had returned to Hong Kong after Sakura became the strongest magician in
the world but professed his love for her and his desire to return, which he did
on several occassions, especially during the battle with The Void, his rescue to
save Sakura during her adventure in the Arcademan Universe and being her moral
support during The Darkness war. Syaoran still weld powerful magicks as well as
finely tuning his martial arts training during his stay in Hong Kong. He too was
attending college in Hong Kong when he felt that now was the time to move back
for good to Tomoeda to be with the woman he loved. A few weeks ago, with the
schools on summer break, Syaoran transfered to Tomoeda University and moved in
to a lovely home near the Tsukimine Shrine. If things worked out, Sakura and
Syaoran would marry and live their lives out together as is thought to be their
destiny.

Too bad destiny can be delayed. Sometimes in a good way but unfortunately in
many cases...in a bad way.

The last few months leading into the summer of 2011 were very nerve racking, not
just for Sakura and Syaoran but for many people throughout the country of Japan.
A sizable earthquake rocked the entire country and while using her magicks
Sakura was able to counter most of the damage within Tomoeda and Tokyo, she
couldn't prevent the massive damage around the coastlines. However the one thing
she was most proud of...with expertise from her beloved Syaoran and his quick
thinking to the situation at hand, she was able to protect the vunerable nuclear
power plants and though the there was widespread descruction and a few deaths,
most of Japan was quickly rebuilt and functioning today. With the rebuilding
mostly complete, Sakura could finally take some time off for a well deserved
break and what better way than to be with her number one, Syaoran.

On one night in particular, Sakura was getting ready to bed. Her father was
getting things prepared for yet another one of his trips to an excavation site.
Since the recent eatrhquakes, more relics have been unearthed as an excellent
chance of learning know about the past of Japan has presented itself so he's
been to sites more often than being at home. At times it could be a lonely place
being alone in a large house, as her older brother Toya was overseas in the
United States on a personal trip.

"Sorry I have to leave once again, Sakura. Lots of things to do and so little
time to do it in."

"Don't worry, dad! You're needed and as long as you're doing your best and
staying safe, everything will surely be alright!" Sakura said with a smile.

"I know you may be the world's strongest magician but you'll always be my
precious daughter. Besides, I know Kero will be around...speaking of which,
where is he right now?"

Sakura and her father went to the kitchen to find Kero at the table eating a
rather large piece of cake.

"Should've figured!" as Sakura looked at Kero who the entire time had ot noticed
the two standing there until the both of them starting laughing out loud.

"What's so funny?!!" asked Kero with frosting smudges all over his face.

A bit later, as a car pulls away from the Kinomoto residence, Sakura was in her
pajamas and ready for bed. Kero was flying right behind her as she climbed the
steps to her room. As she crawled into bed, turned off the lamp and pulled the
covers over her, she said in a sleepy tone 'good night' to Kero and fell asleep.
Once the two of them were sound asleep, the dresser drawer pulled itself open
and the book where the Sakura Cards were stored began to glow first softly, the
brighter as the book opened and a card floated above Sakura...

The Dream Card.

Sakura was having a dream. With what looked like a smile on her face, it
appeared to be a good one but suddenly, her face began to twitch and her entire
body thrashed about. What seemed to be an eternity to her but in actually was
only a few minutes, she woke up in a cold sweat. She looked around the dark
room, saw Kero was still asleep and that it was only a half hour's time passed
since she went to bed but as she went to turn on the light, she noticed the
Dream Card by her side and Sakura started to shake again.

"Dear God, not again! Not again...Arcademan!"

CHAPTER TWO

EARTH-AU: HOME OF ARCADEMAN AND THE ARCADEMAN UNIVERSE...

The last few months have been somewhat of a whirlwind for Arcademan and the
members of the heroic Arcade Brigade. Following their hard-fought victory
against The Darkness, where the combined forces of three worlds; their own, the
Earth in which the Cardcaptor Sakura Kinomoto lives and Earth-S, home of Captain
Marvel and the Squadron of Justice, the heroes barely had time to rest from the
war when their sworn enemy Lord Pyrogod desolved the non-aggressive pact and
attempted to launch a surprise attack. Fortunately, as in many a case, the
heroes tened to function as a group better than the villains and due to Destrux'
double-cross against his master and several of his fellow villains, the heroes
won the day and the Earth once again was safe from Darkness. However new threats
continued throughout the world and from a different kind of attack...

Nature.

Inside of Arcade Brigade Headquarters, located in a secret establishment
somewhere in central Arizona, Arcademan and Midnight Striker look grimly at a
local news broadcast of events taking place and wonder why there isn't much they
can do to prevent the tragic events that seem to occur almost on a daily basis.

"Arcademan, I know we are bound by the creator The White Wizard to protect the
world from the Beings of Darkness and any attacks not of a natural basis however
seeing all of these natural disasters taking play throughout the country and
even overseas, how can we not help?" questioned Striker.

"Mankind's progress on the Earth Realm must not be overly interferred with, lest
the delicate balance between Darkness and Light be shattered and a new age of
Chaos usher in before millennia. This is the Age of Light and to preserve that,
we cannot interfer with the ways of the mortals." state Arcademan in a cold,
harsh tone.

Walking in and hearing that statement was Tecknight, another member of the
Arcade Brigade and the group's legal liason to law enforcement.

"Do not forget...we are also mortal beings ourselves despite our great
abilities. While we are bound not to help the progress of mankind, that doesn't
prevent us from assisting them when needed. It's a matter of judgment and
priorities."

"True that." says Arcademan. "From what's been happening this year, I'm not sure
even if we did help, how our powers and abilities would do much good against
nature itself." Striker types in some commands on the computer and a list of
events appear on the screen.

"Flash flooding in the north, tornadoes in the Midwest, volcanic activity,
forest fires of great magnitude in our own backyard, not to mention the recent
devestating earthquakes in Japan and Chile. I do find it rather troubling it's
all going down all within months...even days of each other."

Arcademan looked at the screen for awhile, then broke the silence. "I'd say it's
coincidental but I was taught there's no such thing. Tell you what, let's go
check out the scenes personally and see if there's anything out of the ordinary.
If help is needed and asked for, do what you can. Call in any available members
to assist. That's it. Let's roll!"

As Arcademan flies north to check in on the recent fire that destroyed over half
a million acres in south central Arizona, he thinks to himself "I wish we had
more manpower on this. If only certain things didn't happen after the Dark
War..."

THE DEFEAT OF THE DARKNESS- SEVERAL MONTHS EARLIER...

The White Wizard, along with his fellow wizards from the other Earths Shazam and
Clow Reed, opened portals to return everyone to their home worlds. The only hero
who wasn't at ease was Eclipse, who was instrumental in defeating the last verge
of The Darkness with the help from Captain Marvel's enemy Black Adam. Though he
swore not to attack anyone until he was back home on Earth-S, he gave an
interesting proposal to Eclipse.

"Come with me, Eclipse back to my universe. We can roam the universe at our
leisure and leave everyone behind. This might be for the best for if not, I will
attempt to destroy Captain Marvel and rule the world. With you at my side, that
need not happen. I feel the darkness within you and its power is greater than
mine. I can help keep it in check."

Eclipse paused for a moment, then said in a soft tone. "Sorry, Mighty Adam. I
cannot. My home is within this universe but please do not despair. We here have
seen the good you're capable of. You may surprise yourself once you return. Take
care and remember if anything, you have at least one friend." Adam stepped into
the portal and disappeared back to his own world.

Arcademan walked over to Eclipse and put his hands on her shoulder to give some
comfort however he felt an almost overwhelming presence of darkness.

"Adam was correct, Arcademan. The Darklight within me is struggling to overcome
the Brightlight. Being composed of both energies, it's a constant struggle to
keep the balance, which is why The White Wizard originally seperated the two.
Bringing me back only made it worse. You, a Being of Darkness working as a hero
have a idea of what's going on but multiply it thousandfold and you know where I
stand. For now, I must leave and find my rightful place in the universe. I hope
and pray the next time we meet, it will be under peaceful circumstances.
Farewell, Arcademan!" and in a flash of light, Eclipse was gone.

Suddenly, Arcademan's mind was jogged back to the present as he landed in the
middle of a raging inferno. Invunerable to the effects of the fire, he scanned
the area with his vision power and noticed something peculiar.

"I'm nowhere near the magic user as Parrillusia or Flora but I feel its
presence, however faint. Worse, I have the feeling I've encounter this before."

Arcademan took to the air and scanned more of the surroundings. "The villains
want to destroy us and take over Earth...they wouldn't intentionally cause
needless destruction like this but I can't help but nit shake the feeling
there's something mystical involved here. I wonder if the sites of the other
natural disasters have something..."

Then it hit Arcademan like a ton of bricks.

"This magic...I have felt it before. It's CLOW magick! Sakura Kinomoto and her
Sakura Cards! I'm almost positive! But how...and why?!!"

CHAPTER THREE

SEVERAL DAYS EARLIER BEFORE THE ARRIVAL OF ARCADEMAN AT THE FOREST FIRE...

What started out as an apparent leftover campfire and then a few acres of flames
suddenly grew into several hundreds of thousands of acres of raging
out-of-control fire that threatened several mountainous communities. Unknown to
anyone a battle of sorts was going on in the middle of the inferno. What
appeared to be a young girl, roughly ten years old wearing a dress and waving
what looked like a long pole or stick. Strangely enough, she seem unaffected by
the fire or heat as if a protective shield surrounded her body. As she ran
around, she saw a glimpse of something rising in the wall of flames...almost in
a shape of a person.

"There it is!" she said out loud to herself. "The one that calls itself The
Firey." Hold still and soon you'll be added to my collection of cards!" The girl
stood her ground and began to chant an incantation as the firey being turned and
headed straight for her.

"Return to the form that you were meant to be..." However before she could
finish, the firey creature struck her at full force. Though the shield protected
her from the hellish heat and blast, the concussion of the strike knocked her
back nearly a hundred feet right into a burned out tree. Then the creature took
off straight into the sky and disappeared from sight.

"Damn! Firey got away...AGAIN! I wasn't able to catch Windy, Watery, Earth or
Thunder either! I'd probably be fried if it wasn't for the Shield Card I
possess. Still, that attack hurt a bit." She looked and noticed the edges of her
dress were scorched, her knee was scraped up and slightly bleeding but the worse
part...

"Another pair of sandals ruined. I really need to get sturdier ones but what can
I say, I like dressing up the cute little girl." She noticed the heat and the
smokey air more around her.

"Uh-oh! Losing power. I better get out of here and head home or I'll be stuck
here and I don't want that to happen again, like in North Dakota and the flood."
She fumbles around in her pocket and pulls out a card marked 'Return'. Flipping
it out in the air, she strikes it with what is now apparently a wand and fades
away, as if she or the being made of fire even existed. As the dejected girl
slowly disappears, she thinks to herself...

"No one must know the terrible danger that I unwittingly released...at least
until I capture more of them and bring then under control. It's like that book
said 'If their seal is broken...disaster will befall this world..."

As the girl disappears from the fires in southeastern Arizona, she slowly
reappears in a posh house outside of the city of San Francisco. She looks at
herself in the mirror. "I look like I've been wrestling with Smokey the
Bear...and smell like it too. Better shower and change before mother or any of
the servants come home."

After cleaning up, she slips into a shirt and pants combo complete with a ball
cap where once was long flowing hair is now pinned out and hidden under the cap.
At a glance, one would think that the young girl was actually a young boy but in
reality a tomboy. She hears the front door open.

"Cher? Are you home?" On cue, she pops out of her room and runs downstairs to
greet her mom.

"Welcome home, mom! How was your trip to Egypt? Find anything new and exciting
during your archeological trip and more importantly, did you bring me a
present?" she gave a sly grin when saying that.

"You know me, Cher. While I love my work, I'm so glad to be home if only for a
couple of days. I missed you so much!" and hugged her.

"I'll have the cook make us something real special for dinner. Speaking of cook,
do you smell something burning?"

FLASHBACK TO THE PRESENT...

Arcademan got on his communicator to the other members of the Arcade Brigade
investing several sites of what had been perceived as natural disasters.

"Look for residual mystical energies. I have a working theory that these
disasters may not be so natural. Meanwhile I think I'll take a little trip over
to Japan. Let me know what you guys find. Arcademan out!"

As the hero takes to the sky and starts to head east toward the Pacific Ocean
and then to Japan, Arcademan is alone with his thoughts.

"If this is Clow Reed's magic indeed, what connection, if any...have to do with
Sakura Kinomoto?"

Chapter 4: Chapter Four
(by Arcademan, added on 2012-03-12 13:04:11 AEST) [Discussion Topic]

CHAPTER FOUR

Flying over the ocean, it still takes Arcademan nearly a half hour's time to
circumvent the watery divide between the United States and the island nation of
Japan. Flying past its capitol of Tokyo and veering slightly north and east at
the famed landmark Tokyo Tower, Arcademan heads for the town of Tomoeda. While
looking around for his final destination, he notices the damage from the recent
earthquake that rattled the country.

"It's really amazing what the forces of nature can do to civilization. Hopefully
it was just that...nature. That's why I'm here to find out."
Arcademan thought
to himself until he sees what he was looking for.

"If memory serves me right, at least on Sakura's world, this is where Clow
Reed's mansion stood."
As he lands, he notices the entire city block fenced off
with several warnings signs and security patrol to ward off any attempt at
trespassing on the property.

"I'll take a slight subtle approach. No need to announce my arrival or intent to
anyone."
Using super-speed and flight, Arcademan sneaks detection easily and in
an instant finds himself within the deteriorating structure, the entire inside
of the mansion looking more like a archeological dig with several trenches and
tunnels. Scanning around the place, Arcademan is looking for a particular piece
of a puzzle that would help prove or disprove his theory that the recent strings
of natural disasters were in whole or part caused by magic...

The Book of Clow!

As the hero looks around, he hears a sound and sees a shadow. "I sense a
presence in here. Maybe whomever it is may be able to provide me with some
answers."
Soon, a woman desends into the cavern and immediately notices
Arcademan. Slightly startled at first, she turns face-to face with him.

{"Who are you and what are you doing here? How did you get past security?"}
demanded the lady who was speaking in Japanese though clearly not a Japanese
person in appearance.

{"My name is Arcademan. Maybe you've heard of me. I'm from America.} Though he
speaks only English, the Powerstar on his costume acts as a translator.

"Yes...of course I've heard of you." said the woman who once knew who he was,
started speaking in English. "I'm glad to meet you however my original question
stands...what are you doing here in this archeological site?"

"I came here looking for a vital clue to a case I'm involved with. Am I to
assume this place was once the home of an ancient and powerful wizard from
Japan's past that goes by the name of Clow Reed?" quizzed the hero.

"Hmmm...I'm impressed. Not many people know much about Clow Reed...except he was
a basis for a manga and anime series over a decade ago. Most people think of him
as a myth. By the way, the name's Professor Elizabeth Blossom. I'm the Chief of
Archeology on this expedition."

"I've heard of that name before...Blossom...of course!" snapped Arcademan. "You
wouldn't happen to be related to the late Stanley John Blossom?"

The young lady sighs. "Yes. He was my husband. I met him at a dig in Egypt
nearly 20 years ago and it was love at first sight. As a matter of fact, this is
the very place where he was killed over two years ago."

"My condolences, Professor Blossom." said Arcademan. After a brief moment of
silence, he turned back to her. "I'm actually not just looking for evidence that
Clow Reed existed but something he owned...a book which may have contained
powerful magicks. I know it seems incredible to think about the aspects of
mystical powers, especially when you're dealing with scientific facts."

The young Professor Blossom smiled. "More than you think, Arcademan. Some things
cannot always be explained by science so I may be one of a handful of people who
likes to keep an open mind about magic. Speaking of which, follow me around the
corner but watch out. This is the first time anyone's been in here since the big
earthquake and this entire site is extremely unstable."

Arcademan follows Professor Blossom down a dark tunnel aided by a small
flashlight in her hand until the two come across what appears to be a smooth
wall with writing.

"We've been trying to decode this and gain entry but so far it's been a no go.
That book you mentioned earlier, while we did manage to recover some artifacts
that does establish the existance of Clow Reed the man, there's not enough
evidence to say he was a wizard or magician or had a book that contained his
powers. However, to me that wall seems to give off some sort of strange vibration.
It's hard to describe and some people noticed it more than others. Touch it."

Arcademan touched the wall and noticed something almost immediately.

"A mystical barrier. Old but functional." He looked at the writing on the wall.
"I wish my translator worked on written words. Let's give my x-ray vision a
try." He stared at the wall however got nothing but a white haze.

"Magic or lead...or a combination. Sorry I can't help you out, Miss Blossom."

"No worries. At least you tried. I'm sorry you didn't find what you were looking
for." The room began to rumble as dust and rock started to fall down from the
ceiling. "We may not get to find out what's behind that wall. If the tunnel
collapses, it may be another lifetime before we can attempt to get in,
Arcademan...uh...Arcademan?"

Elizabeth looked around and saw the hero look around the room in different spots,
then twin blasts of heat beams from his eyes flash. In mere moments, several
spots where supports were falling apart were fused together.

"I may not be able to help you get inside but at least the tunnel and housing's
stable. It should hold quite nicely."

"Thank you, Arcademan! You saved all of our long work, not to mention millions
of dollars." said a grateful professor. "Now perhaps I can go home early and
take a week off and spend some quailty family time before pluging myself back
into work."

As the two headed back to the surface, Arcademan thought to himself. "She has
family? This might be a lead."
When the two reacehed the surface, Arcademan
asked. "So...you have family?"

"Yes...a daughter...my little Cher. She's 10 years old and the spitting image of
her father. Even dresses up like him and me since she often accompanied us on
location. She was naturally heartbroken when her father died but thank God she
wasn't here when it happened. It took awhile for her to get the courage to come
here."

"So...she was here. Did she go inside by chance." quizzed the hero.

"Yes...and while we were down there in the tunnels, the big earthquake began. We
were fortunate to get out in time before the front collapsed. It was only a few
days ago that we secured the opening and were a bit surprised that the tunnels
and structure were mostly intact though unstable."

Thoughts were racing through the mind of Arcademan. "So...Cher...that was your
daughter's name...You named her after the singer/actress?"

"Heh. That's her nickname. It was an inside family joke. I gave birth to her
while on this did 10 years ago when we discovered something under Clow Reed's
mansion. In the Tomoeda Hospital, we decided since she was officially born in
Japan and our last name was Blossom, her name would be Cherry."

Arcademan uttered the word. "Sakura."

"That's the inside joke. Pretty clever, eh? Well, I must be off. Got some
paperwork to do and then catch a plane home to San Francisco. It was a pleasure
meeting you, Arcademan...and again thanks for your help."

"My pleasure, Professor." Arcademan answered back. "Thank you for the
information you provided." As Arcademan took to the now-darkening skies, he
thoughts were now racing a million miles an hour and thought to himself.

"The pieces are starting to fall into place. As soon as I'm in close distance,
I'll contact the other heroes to see if they found anything perculiar in any of
the disaster sites."

Chapter 5: Chapter Five
(by Arcademan, added on 2012-03-12 13:07:21 AEST) [Discussion Topic]

CHAPTER FIVE

MEANWHILE IN TOMOEDA, JAPAN ON SAKURA'S EARTH...

There was a knock on the front door at the Kinomoto house early in the morning
right before the rise of the sun. Sakura ran down the stairs to answer the door.
It was her best friend in the whole world...

Tomoyo Daidouji.

"I came here as soon as I could, Sakura!" The two walked into the living room
where they were joined by Kero. Sakura then told Tomoyo everything about the
dream she experienced earlier.

"I'm not entirely sure what it all meant but it had something to do with our
mutual friend from another world Arcademan. There's impending disaster either
taking place or about to on his Earth. That's pretty much what I got from my
dream."

Tomoyo looked a little puzzled, then asked Sakura "I know Arcademan is a valued
and trusted friend and you saved each other's life here and there but
honestly...if there is danger there, why should it concern you? Not to sound
cold about it, heaven forbid."

Kero chimed in. "I said the same thing but it's not all that happened in the
dream. Tell her the rest, Sakura."

Sakura hesitated at first, then continued on. "During the dream, I kept sensing
a weird feeling. Fleeting at first, I couldn't tell what it was but after
awhile, I realized exactly what it was though I haven't felt that particular
feeling in years...I sensed the power of Clow Reed."

"That's impossible. You possess all of his cards and energies and the only trace
of Clow Reed left resides within Eriol Hiiragizawa and Sakura's father, Fujitaka
Kinomoto."

Kero was lost in thought for a moment, then suddenly he jumped up, which
startled both the young ladies.

"I remember what my former master Clow Reed said. There are multiple Earths in
multiple dimensions. That much we know. He also said that sometimes history
repeats themselves on them as well."

"Of course!" said Tomoyo. "Awhile back, we ran into that other Sakura and
Syaoran during the Darkness War."

"So...what the Dream Card was trying to tell me...there could be a Clow Reed on
Arcademan's world or even stranger...another me?" Sakura surmised. "I know the
last time I was there, I existed only as a manga and anime character created by
a group of women named CLAMP. I still wondered how that could be? In any event,
I feel that I was sent this message for a reason and that I must travel to the
Arcademan Universe to find out the true answers."

Kero flew in front of Sakura. "Whoa, kiddo! Don't you remember last time you
were there, you got yourself killed. I'm not going to let you go there...at
least by yourself. Let me go with you!"

"I agree with Kero, Sakura. The two of you can go. It's safety in numbers. Maybe
take Syaoran with you too since..."

"NO!" Sakura cuts the two off. "I'm not a kid anymore. I'm the strongest
magician in the world! I helped protect Japan from what would've been the most
devestating earthquake in its history. I know what I'm getting myself into and
most importantly I will not endanger my friends doing this. I must go there
alone."

Kero looked dejected. "I understand. I don't likke the idea but I do
understand."

Sakura turned toward the two. "I'm so sorry for raising my voice like that. I
care deeply about everyone here. To risk even one of you would defeat the
purpose of my trip. Besides, Kero can take care of things here along with
Syaoran...oh my gosh! I should tell him what's going on!" She quickly picked out
the phone and dialed his number but got only an answering machine.

"Tomoyo, please fill him in on what's going on." pleaded Sakura. "I'm leaving
immediately."

Tomoyo gave a brave face. "I almost wish this was like the good old days when I
used to make you a costume to your battles. Take care of yourself and please
hurry back!" The two hugged each other for the longest time, then Sakura walked
to the middle of the room and raised both of her hands.

"RETURN!" Swirls of bright magical lights seem to come up from the floor and
swallow the former Cardcaptor up. Such is her power now, Sakura no longer needs
her Star Staff or the cards themselves to summon them. Her might so impressive,
unlike the last time she went to the Arcademan Universe, she no longer needed
the boost from the Tsukimine Shrine, a holy place of immense power and faith. In
mere moments, the light faded away as did Sakura Kinomoto from her world.

The Darkness began to part away from Sakura as the world came back into focus
around here as she arrived back on Arcademan's Earth, just outside the fabled
Arcade Brigade headquarters.

"Won't Arcademan be surprised to see me. I need to tell him about my dream.
Wait! I see someone flying in the sky coming toward me. That must be him!"
However Sakura was in for a surprise of her own. Though the figure was caped and
dressed similar to Arcademan, it was not him...it was BattleTech, the android
member of the Arcade Brigade. He landed in front of Sakura and in a robotic,
montotone voice said,

"Magical energy detected. Sensors match the energy from disaster sites visted
earlier from Arcade Brigade members. Conclusion: this being is responsible for
disasters. Stand down and be taken prisoner or be punished!" as BattleTech
raised his wrist lasers and pointed them right at Sakura.
